I remember having to read the book "The Stone Angel" by Margaret Laurence in highschool.  I hate that book. I wouldn't go so far as burning copies of it, but close enough. I don't care what professional book reviews say, it was horrible. Death of a Salesman was interesting. One of the top ten books I ever had to read for school. I also really enjoyed Shakespeare, but we never got to read Hamlet!  I've never heard of half the books you guys listed. Thats okay though.  |

heh yeah I remembered getting reading lists in middle school...I never read the books though and instead read novles rather than the crapy short stories they told us to read

Summer school. . . . . . almost. . . . . . . . freakin'. . . . . . . . . . . . DONE!!! I'm done w/my summer english class Friday. I'll be SO glad when it's all over with! School sucks when you only have a week or two left, but don't think about it, or what you are going to do when you get home, just think about the past or play music in your head over and over, time will pass quicker that way
...or dive you crazy and go on a mass killing spree ;D

I've got to finish the first part of my summer homework by tomorrow. I've still got a lot to do. I think I would rather a summer english class rather than summer homework. I hate the last few weeks of school. Most of it, especially the last week, is so pointless. I would rather learn something than spend a long time in a classroom doing nothing. I draw to get me through my classes, I don't know if my new teachers will be so nice to let me draw this year though. I had another friend who liked to draw but always got yelled at. Anyone else got some good techniques for getting through the school day that some of us might be able to use? |

Thanks for the compassion guy’s. The last two weeks realy suck. And Id I'm alredy doing that but afther 60 min ore som I go nuts bekas my had keaps dowing the same song over en over. And chib I got the same as you're frend they get mad ore just take it en trow it in the garbig . Aksept for one tho he is realy nice, as long as I do al my work I can do what ever I want. Accept that killing spree Idea from Id Most of the time I think about how I smash the math teachers face in. That takes me throw his classes. But if I’m not doing that I’m thinking op story’s For my Flash animation’s and Strip that I’m going to start soon I think.  The most powerful weapon is knolling. |

Yea mas killing spree is fun I did that to day.
We had a lan Party 8 people unreal Toernemebt 2004.
I was on killing spree and than rempage lol.
But even mij favrit song starts to bug me after 70 minutes taht's how long one leson takes.

You don't burn books just beause they don't go along with your ideas.  However flawed you or I may find a book there could still be valuable ideas there. The Stone Angel was great at what it was trying to express. Just because I didn't care for it but was forced to read it anyways doesn't mean it's a truly bad book. (The first things to go when dictators come to power are usually books and libraries. The last thing you want is your people getting ideas about free speech and rebellion. The Nazi party was big on book burnings. Same difference. ) |
