Well, I suppose it doesnt matter if you started this thread or not since it was YOUR misconcieved ...... I mean WELL PLACED question that inspired it. ;D
Well, Basitan history hasnt been expanded on much, but Im going to pretend they are a very reserved people, and any display of affection would be rather personal.... That makes me wonder if there is a way for them to "kiss," since their culture would never present a standard model to them. Maybe it varies from couple to couple then.

You know what.... I have no idea.  Okay, I have a vague idea, but since it was never really important to the story, I never got around to actually finalizing it. Basitins really are very modest people, with the women almost literally "owned" by the males in a very primitive system of society. The males do the hard work, and all of them are tought to be warriors. Females tend to the children and teach. I think this is important to note because it gives you an idea of how their world works. They do not do anything at all sexual in public (unlike Keidran, who are known to... procreate quite openly) In the private of their own homes, they will go through very polite rituals when it comes to sex. So from that, I believe Basitins do a kind of "nuzzling" on each other's necks, or something along these lines, as a show of affection. Hope that helps. ;D |
