Don't mention dubbed Love Hina ever again. *smack* lol. jk.

But seriously...I have the DVD set with both subbed and dubbed....Just to amuse myself I started to watch it in dubbed after watching it subbed...couldn't finish the first episode....Voices....craptastic....Kitsune's a Texan or something....That one drove me nuts.

Overall I like subbed better. There are decent dubs, but I can read fast enough that I get the picture and the text all in one. I personally like Japanese voices over the English just as preference even though I can't understand them. Sometimes it feels like they have more feeling to them. Although that's really based on the anime it would seem. Bad dubbing has also made me not like dubbed too much....lol.

Dont forget about the difference between Bad Dub's and Bad Voice actor choices! From what i heard (it may not be true we will find out soon enough) on Full Metal Alchemest their is a little boy's spirit in this huge thing of armor - so naturally they use a kids voice and add a little echo sound to it -- but from what i heard the English uses a generic robot voice...

That doesnt mean its a bad dub ^_^ -
for those who dont know heres a simple way of telling if its the dub or Voice Actors or both that are bad.
Dub - The translations are changed a lot to fit a different idea like how Love Hina actually changed what they talked about in the hot spring - thus ruining the joke and all...
Bad Voice actor - The voice makes you want to kill yourself, the voice is older than the character (9 year old voiced by a 40 year old...) A "girly boy" is voiced by a person with a deep voice... any time the voice doesnt fit the character...

For classic examples of poor voice actors : refer to most childrens shows imported for the broadcast networks. I swear it's like they just picked up random crack addict children of the street with promises of 5 dollars and a donut.
Or games such as Star Ocean 2. If the people in that dont make you want to go apes@#$ on someone, then you must be immune to poor voice actors.

She had a Kansai accent in the Japanese version since she was from Osaka, and the closest they could get in the US version is a southern accent. They do that quite often, since I guess they're trying to be "accurate" and I'm not sure if it's bad or not. If you're use to the original then you'd think it's bad however someone who's never seen the original may not think its bad, and they may consider the original to be "bad".

For example, it took me a while to get used to Goku's Japanese voice in DBZ. I for example prefer the dubbed version of Excel Saga, and Shinesman (the dub changed a lot of lines to make them more humorous to a western audience.)
