Sure, there are a lot of annoying voices in anime, but for every irritating one, there are two that uh, are not. Cowboy Bebop and Trigun are some good examples of that.

MAybe im jsut a book type person with a thing for pretty pictures. I get a lot more of my story from the text than from the dialog, no matter what language. That is why I prefer hearing it in Japanese. MY brain understands little enough of it to make it merely the sound of voice I associate with a character, and the text is who they are to me.
