Okay, I've heard good and bad about this game. Some say its a crappy medieval sims, some say it's the second coming, I need some info. Has anyone played this game? Is it really that good/bad? With all the hype I can't help but think that the game must fall short, no?

All I know is that scott from VGcats will kill an mortal who speaks ill of it. AS WILL I! *Raises Obsidian Great Sword in a threatening manner.* I bought that game on... um... Monday! Yeah it was Monday! (I'm losing track of my days.) What was I going to say... Oh yeah, OMFG FABLE ROCKS! My character would be in way better health right now if I hadn't used so many "Heal" spells earlier. Using magic causes you to age faster. I used between 40-50 Heal spells on one of my earlier Quests to save some kid and an inexperienced Adventurer. They had been captured by Hob-Goblins (Hobbes) and I had to hack and slash my way through about a hundred of the little bastards! As I've progressed through the game I've maintained my natural morality and been a damned goody-goody. It's pritty cool actually. Now whenever I stand still a light double ringed halo will appead above my head with little butterflys fliting about. And as with any RPG.... I need more ca$h!! Better equipment awaits! www.gamespot.com/xbox/rpg/fable/preview_6106196.html

I haven't had a chance to play this game yet, but if it allows me to be the most evil dude next to the antichrist, it will be very enjoyable. Whoda thunk? Mindlessly slaughtering townsfolk is bad?

Using magic causes you to age faster. Wow, reminds me of emporer Palpatine. MAges would look wicked old after playing for a long time. Sounds cool.

The graphics I saw on the commercial looked awesome. Then the whole idea of "Your actions reflect on your character" I just love that. Evil deeds turn you evil, good turn you good. Me like...but damn I don't need something else to get addicted to right now. -.-

From what I've heard though, they cut out alot of stuff and kind of rail based all the paths, limiting exploration. For one who likes ES3:morrowind type games, this is a real let down.

The type of clothing you choose also effects your alignment.
Right now I'm runing arround doing evil deeds while wearing 'Bright' clothing, which pushes your alignment towards good.
Basicaly I look like Saruman but with a sword. lol

Why would clothing effect alignment?

Its like your apperence IRL. How you dress effects the way peopel see you as. So to speak your alignment. I for instance walk around in pants with belts and hoops all over, with a belly shirt tank top (yes) huge thick collar on, gaint boots with steel plating on the outside among my other strange gear. I am told to be one of the funnest and kindess people to be around. But if your a stranger on the street you might not see me that way. In a sense people see light colors they think good, black they think bad.

I've played it and I think it deserves the game of the year, it has the best AI I have ever seen, everyone does there own things, I've seen townspeople sell items to eachother and people help carry boxes, the children in the towns have to go to school, if u get married ur wife notices changes around the house or ur outfit, and one time i wacthed her get out of bed go downstairs go to a cuboard then go to the table and sit down and start to eat an apple. Then its kool how you can be good or evil, and like I saw ealier ur clothing affects ur apearence not alignment, because u can be extremly good, but people dont like u because u where assasins cloths. It definately a must buy game.

Sir, "Dark Platemale Armor" (or Armour) is what your looking for. ;D It's beautifull stuff, black with red engraving. I try to go for a "Cooler-Medieval-Darth Vader" look. Too bad it causes people to flee before me. I'd rather they just cower. lol EDIT: 5 4 Legendary Weapons to go!

See...that's what they did in EQ when I played on a PVP server.... Just cause I wore black doesn't mean I'm evil! Granted I have my moments...-.-
