Its Victoria Day Monday. A national holiday here in Canada and most likely in the rest of the former British Empire as well. Celebrating the great Monarch who ruled over one of the largest and most powerful Empires of all time. Queen Victoria. Huzzah! I always loved Victoria day, or anyother day that let me get out of school for that matter. I think it's Columbus day or something in the US. Why you would have a holiday named for somone who discovered the same thing 50 other explorers did is beyond me. Why isn't it called Viking day? They made it as far a Maine just about by 900 ad. lol

Yeah! Viking Day would be cool! A national holiday that glorifies the pillaging and looting of other countries! I believe that the President is already in the Viking Day spirit.

Although true the Vikings did pillage villages, they also saved many books and other forms of writing, so they weren't all bad...and they created very heavy swords that are not easly broken...
...here is a hint, read up on something before criticising it/them.

People really don't want to hear about the writing and stuff.

yep those are the best days...and snow/rain days... actually i don't like snow/rain days at my collage the only way you get a snow day is if there is 5' of snow outside and the only time you get a rain day is if the building was washed away in the flood

I love writing and all, but not the "old writing." I prefer more contemporary fiction(read: novels). Though I'm a huge fan of history, I hate reading things like biographies and essays. They're just boring.
