I think that was the point.
Yeah the other board does look abit blah. Kind of run-of-the-mill if you will.
But I'm still for it if it has better features.
EDIT: Oh yeah I think we should start compiling a list of possible custom forum names if we switch for some of the older members. (2 month-ers ?)

No, you can customize both. This is customized, but not too much(Just minor color stuff).
Also, PHPbb2 you could totally change aspects of by rewriting them, since you control it.
So, basically, my question is this: If PhPBB2 has not-signifigant feature improvements, do we still wanna do this just for the sake of change?
That said, I'm in favor of staying here, at least until I hear some great features. Maybe a theme change once in a while if you want change?
A Twokinds emoticon set for each race would be cool in either one. Maybe the old memebrs could have Human names instead?

I've fiddled with phpbb2.0 bords before, and they're nice and fun to play with, with all sorts of toys ^-^ i don't see any problems moving... though I've only been her for a day

I am not an old member (3-month), so dont care about me, but if the other is funny and nice and shiny and awesome, than why not move? I like moving I dont really know the features of this or the another board. And I dont think that it means too much. I think, what makes a forum (or things like it) good or bad, are those who use it. But some shiny features are always fun to play with. ;D

Kero has been working on the board for awhile now and alot of features been updated, like now we can have nice sized avatars and customized skins for the board. So you don't have to go with the default color skin. My is a cool inverted screen of black and blue.

I tried the new forum. Hm, avatars, smiles, nice colors. Not too different from the old forum, still I like the new one better. And I have more shiny features to play. What will be done with the old one? Erased? Shoot into the sun? Put six feet under? Turn away and forget? Burn and throw the ashes to the wind? Given to the poor? Or just close it, and put a table on the door: "the tiger bites"

MEh .. we should back it up, put it on the new forums under it's own section, old boards or something, and lock all the threads. If any should need to be continued, new threads can be started in the new forum and linked back to the old ones. Eazy Enough , I hope.

You know Lard, that accually is a very good idea. Cause then when old questions arise we can jsut direct them to the things that were discussed here, and not have repeats of old forum threads.

Then again there probably is a program which does this already. Keep in mind that I have no idea what the db format for phpbb is. There is also the problem of synchronizing users between the two forums since people may use different usernames, and it would be best that the moved posts were under their new account on the new forum (and not on a "guest" account). Post counts should be easy to move, since even without moving posts you can simply change the number of posts a person has and set it to whatever number of posts they have here (unless they synch the post count with the actual number of posts in the db in which case you'd need to add some php code).

NO!!!
I love this place, even if there are some very annoying newbs(spammers). Unless you can find one that is as organized, and maybe one that blocks spam and such, then I'm not willing to move. Maybe I'll stay here and hold the fort or something.

It simply can do everything we have here, and more.

Okay, if your willing to help me bounce things over, unless someone here has direct access to the forms bords, and can just relocate them without me having to think about it, it would be nice.
