Currently I'm reading Night of the Claw by Ramsey Campbell. I'm not sure just what I think of it yet. I'll say I've read more captivating books though. This one doesn't grab my attention enough to keep me coming back to read more. I've read alot of Stephen King novels though, just like something about the way he writes.

Right now I'm reading "Fast Food Nation" by Eric Schlosser (try and not laugh at that last name). This is an actual documentary-ish thingy. It is an inside look at the dark side of McDonalds Corp, and many other huge megacorporations and how they are pretty much doing nothing but making themselves richer, and destroying the world in the process. (Wow. Big surprise. Big business wrecking the lives of those poorer than them). Anyway, it is required reading for my freshman college classes, and I must say it is a very good thing to read... if you have tons of free time.

three words Dragon Lance Series. They have about 30 books and most go in a big long story but all the books come back to the same story in a certain way, very good books.

Thanks Guys for your imput i'm going to be looking in to all the books posted here(except maybe Id's ).Chibi's selection looks good, since she doesn't read much they must be good. i'm going to look into The Dragon Lance Series (I love Dragons) Raven Your going to obsess over LOTR after you get into the second book,The first was a little slow for me.Now for cactus Jacks book of choice, looks interesting...thats all i'm going to say until i read it. As for kero's book sounds funny and probably is really good i don't know if i would be able to get past the title (I know I know Don't judge a book by its cover but it's hard) well i think i covered everybody and if i didn't yell at me in IRC (i'm always there when i'm online) or send me an YIM AIM ICQ any of those will work. YAY I'm a Slave Jeffrey Edit: Holy shit i have the book that Id's reading...thats scary.

Love Hina books 4-8(Bought+read them yesterday, rereading them), Mistress of the Pearl, A Prayer for Owen Meany, Atlas Shrugged(These last two assigned), and Magician:Master. I know perfectly well what my habits are, don't tell me . lol. Oh, and also not Eragon-I only read like 2 pages of it.' Edit: Right now, NOT favorites. Stupid assigned reading.

Well, if you like dark-satiritic-comedies, then you should read anything by Chuck Palahniuk. I would recommend starting with Survivor or Invisible Monsters.
Or, if you're more of a sci-fi guy, read some Isaac Asimov or Robert Silverberg. They wrote two books together, Nightfall and The Positronic Man, and they're awesome.
Or, it you're a detective kind of guy, read some Les Roberts. You'll like him even more if you know the Cleveland area.

I just finished reading Ender's Game by Orison Scott Card, and it was really good. I also liked The Gods Themselves by Asimov. I have to give my personal thumbs-up to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Douglass Adams is a frickin' genius. If you like the more classic literary stuff, The Prince by Machiavelli was certainly interesting, as was Metamorphasis by Kafka. I also liked Candide by Voltaire, which is free over the internet here, and Flatland, which is free here

God dammit! I walked right past a copy of Enders game at the book store yesterday. I've been meaning to read that book for years.
Also I heard somewhere that they might be working on an Ender's game movie but that rumor may be out-dated.
