I just rented Castle in the Sky on Friday and have watched it about twice all the way through now.
Set in an Industrial era style world with airships and flying machines. The main characters Patsu and Sheeta must try to find a way to the Anchient floating city of Laputa. Lost for hundreds of years Laputa is regarded as a myth or legend by most and not taken seriously. Things change when the army, led by special agent Mouska, come looking for Sheeta and the mysterious crystal she possess. It becomes a race agains time to see if Patsu and Sheeta can get to Laputa before Mouska does.
Writer/ Director/ Producer - Hayao Miyazaki
Patsu - James Van Der Beek Sheeta - Anna Paquin Col. Muska - Mark Hamill
Average rating: 4.1 / 5 Runtime: 2 hours 5 minutes

I remember watching that a while ago. It was pretty good. I still like Princess Mononoke and I believe that is Miyazaki's best piece ever. Castle in The Sky is a gojod movie to see, but I didn't like it as much as some of the other movies I have seen. Seeing it is something you should do, but I don't think it was something I would have bought. I didn't stay interested in it very much, but I think I watched the English dub which could have messed up the whole experience, but that is me. I would rather watch it in the original language and see how much Japanese I can pick up from it.

Ooh its a japanese film. Then I think I can't watch it because the video store hasn't got much of those films. Some times it's hard to understand what's going on though, if you watch it in japanese. But it is some times better than to look how the mouths are still moving after the voices stop.

It was licenced for release by Disney in North America. I don't know about Europe.
I tried watching it in Japanese a bit, but Patsu's voice is so high pitched that I though my ears were going to break. ;D
The english voice dubbing is at the standard of excellence that I've come to expect over the past ten years. If there are any places where they did screw it up, it's not noticeable.
PS: It was kind of implied that it was a fantasy movie.

Not all Japanese have high voices. I like watching the subs more for no reason really. Spirited Away was good for both tracks, but I still think Mononoke is best in Japanese. Anime in America tend to not have the best voice acting which is why I probably started watching subs. In .hack//Legend of the Twilight the Japanese voices are extremely better than the English in my opinion.

Spam-ish reply.
You could ask them if they have it. That would be a start wouldn't it? If they didn't have it you could ask them if they knew a place that might carry it.
