MGS, the story is deep and twisted, it should be good for a movie

Exactly, the story is so perfect and since they wont base it on one of the games they have so much room to just come up with something along the storyline.

You all seem to forget about one game that deserves to be made into a movie first. All of those games are cinematic and would probably make very good movies (provided they are better than the Street Fighter movie), but none stack up to Conker's Bad Fur Day. Just think of how awesome that movie would be man! (Rated R, of course) ;D
However, games and movies should NEVER mix, only in rare cicumstances do they work or are worth the money. Tron was a good movie, and Chronicles of Riddick is an awesome X-Box game. However, for every one of those, there are a hundred Mario Brothers movies, and a zillion more Enter the Matrix games (my head STILL hurts from actually plunking money on that piece of garbage). So unless ya got Spielberg or someone equally as powerful directing, its probably gonna stink.

I voted for Halo cause metal gear solid is WAY overrated, sorry but it is, and i agree with cactusjack, games and movies should never mix, except on some rare occasion.

Well, it is a little true about the games and movies mixing, but you have to plan it out correctly. See you can't make a movie based exzctly off the game so you make based off of something you didn't see during the game or something that would make sense.

Definently MGS, 'cause it's got the best story. Halo would just be action stuff, and DMC = nope...

As huge of a Halo fan I may be... MGS would make the better movie.
The best way for them to do it would be to make the movie in 2009 or 2010 because the game is set in 2010. That way they could just get David Hayter to play Snake.
For those who don't know David Hayter is the voice actor for Solid Snake. (And he looks a HELL of alot like him.)

I think any of those movies could make an amazing movie. From all those being games, there fans of games, which means a decent amount of people would see it just because of the title.
I didn't vote for it, but a Devil May Cry movie would be hot... but then again, so would a Halo or MGS movie...

I'd like to make an addition: Viewtiful Joe. That'd make a great superhero type story.
