First of all, You know that Halo made a PC version, right? Also, Morrowind PC has mod support. *Pulls out a papyrus, which rolls ten feet on the floor* 'Kay... FPS. - Unreal series. I'm an Epic fan. (Count out U2XMP) - Half-life, until a few years ago. Waiting for sequel. - Blood. Too bad WinXP doesn't support DOS anymore - Postal 2. It reminds me of Blood (see above) -Turok/Turok 2. Turok 3 Stinks (IMO) and haven't tried the other one Action/Adventure/TPS - Oni - Lord of the Rings- Return of the King. - Soul Reaver/Soul Reaver 2 RPG Almost any RPG can do, as long as it's well done Honorable mentions. FF3, FF5, FF7, FF8, Legend of the Dragoon, Fallout 2. Strategy - Homeworld Series (Hence "S'Jet's Lover") - Empire Earth - CnC Series (Excluding Red Alert Series) - Battlezone 2 (I'm classifying it as Strategy, but it's more like Strategy/Simulation/FPS) - Lord of the Rings- War of the Ring - Sid Meier's Civilization 3 - Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri Simulation - Flight Simulators are o.k. but they tend to bore me after a few days, so... - SimCity 3 (Simcity 4 is needlessly overcomplicated) - The Sims Sports - HA! Racing - Need for Speed 2 - Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 - F-Zero X (Wanna try GX) Horror - Clive Barker's Undying (It's an FPS, but it can get pretty scary) I would include Savage under the RTS section, but people online tend to ruin every game I connect to. Why are people so worried about winning instead of having fun, huh?

I like your style. Especially Homeworld and Fallout 2. I noticed that Sjet thing a while back ... kinda hard to love something shaped lieka giant phalic bannan, but to each his own. I love the flight sims, and many rpg's
Especially the final fantasies in all flavors, incl. tactics. Chrono series is amazing, I especially enjoyed cross, as I am officially adicted to its huge soundtrack. I loved Star Ocean 2 .. the third .. not so much. You dont like red alert? Well, I always liekd it. I think either of them were better than tiberian sun. I admit I liked sun, up until i saw RA2 and realized what it should have been like.
Go civilization series. I loved all of them. And Colonization. I used to play civ 1 and colonozation all day long.

I noticed that Sjet thing a while back ... kinda hard to love something shaped lieka giant phalic bannan, but to each his own. Ha ha ha ha. No... S'jet is not the mothership... She is only Fleet command. You can see her in a few videos in HW. She makes a lot more appeareances in HW2. You can get a very good image of her in the first and last videos in HW2. Who do you think is on the HW2 box cover? I tried searching for her pic, but no luck. ---- About the RA series, I got RA2 in a collection I bought. I usually like or dislike a game based mostly on the AI. Well, the few times I played it on skirmish, I got overwhelmed by every imaginable type of unit way before I could establish base defenses, please note that I was playing against EASY AI's. Also, I barely had my second refinery when I saw a superweapon counter... I mean, I like to play RTS games that let you build a base before you have to fight hordes for your life. I'm a starcraft hater (Hydralisk/ Zergling rush).

No no, I know her person is not the mothership .. its just her physical body more or less IS the mothership. They are bound together. I know that there is some body floating around in the command center of the bannana somewhere ... but it just houses her organs. She is the mommieship.

She is as much the mothership as an F-18 pilot is an airplane. We only know her from war. Besides, it's not like she actually did ANYTHING during the game, huh?

But is a f-18 pilot's brain directly interfaced with their plane? I think their brain is connected to their hands . feet which then are connected to the plane. They are pilots of thier bodies, which in turn control the plane. Sjets all ship. That is why the bentusi liked her so much .. she was unbound ,, just like them.
And you are correct. She neve really does anything. ALthough im still kind of jealous of hee .. the idea of transcendance is beutiful. I would miss my body, its done alot for me over my life ... but dang being a sentient battleship would certainly be cool.
MAn, I'm sittin here, soooo bored ..... I need something to play...

Eh... did you ACTUALLY SEE a bentusi? They make an appeareance in one of HW:Cataclysm video, not more than 10 seconds.
I used to think they were beautiful. WRONG. They are creepy... VERY creepy.
The bentusi are the ones who are fused with their machines.
You should play Alpha Centauri. (Heck, I'm pretty sure you can find a copy on Amazon for about 5 bucks.) You will be hearing about trascendence every now and then (There is an option when you set up game rules. Victory by trascendence:) )
Have you ever had an EEG? Your brain sends signals, which the machine receives. I think S'jet had an interface much like that. A series of apparatus who could receive very faint signals her brain emanated. You don't need to become the machine, you just have to feed the required data.

WAsn't the clip of them being infested by the beast? Frankly anything would look creepy if that happened.
Anyway, cat is the black sheep of the hw universe. Not that hw-2 was the best .... but hw certainly seems to be where the better fluff is at if you know what I mean.
And yes, I have (frequently) played alpha centauri. Its a great idea. New plane of being AND bodies for fun whenever you want em. It was cool.

Yes, the infection video... You'll see at the beginning (I think) a first-plane view of a bentusi, without infestation. It's a head embedded into what seems to be a life support system.
The black sheep? I feel is more like the tales of the poor, the miners instead of the leaders, the miners instead of the armies...
At any rate, Sierra made HW:C too, and that is good enough for me.

SIERRRA!!!! ARGHHHHHHH THE DEMON!!!! NEVER. Sierra published. The story was Relic's baby. Cataclysm was made by bd pretty much. Sierra is the reason we can't have any mod tools worth a rats a@@. Their evil corperate policy keeps the fans down. Heh. Actually the game wasn't terrible ... but it introduced many odd ideas which did not entirely mesh with the universe. Actually, much of it was downright enjoyable. The portrayal of the bentusi was rather ...... detrimental to their image as "kicks 12 types of butt," demoting them to foolish cowards unwilling to save themselves. They were used only as a plot device for moving the story forward, and their entire personna was ignored, turning them into increadble fools... MAybe i feel to strongly about this. But frankly few things actually matter, so I will assign value to this.

Any maybe I'm giving it a little too much value... I just with they mentioned (or at least HINTED) bits and pieces of Cataclysm in HW2, specially since HW2 happens quite some time after cat.

I've played it. Meh, it was ok. Not the greatest RPG ever, (that title goes to either Chrono Trigger or Earthbound) but definately not the worst.
