Well I can only say 1 thing: RPGs are great games.
...those who hate them must be forced to play them until they like them.

Strategies are great, but RPGs are better. And I don't like sports games much, they are kind of repetitive. same thing year after year, only new menus and more realistic players. How exciting....

How can I just choose? I am a broad spectrum gamer. -For Rpgs i like the Final Fantasy series and Lunar. -I have always loved HALO: C.E. and C&C Renegade. -Action/Adventure games like MGS 1&2 are good aling with Oni. -I was going to change my middle name to "Welcome Back Commander" with the number of C&C games I used to play. -Alway a fan of flight Sims, especially Star Wars ones like XWA. -Only sports games I ever liked were SSX. -Horror was never a big one for me for some reason.

I share the sentiments of most of the comments already made -- I like a wide variety of games.
RPG: Earthbound. 'Nuff Said. If ya haven't played it, you've lived a deprived childhood. FPS: Goldeneye, Time Splitters 2 -- Unbelievable multiplayer Action/Adventure: Viewtiful Joe, Zelda anything. Strategy: CnC: Red Alert 2, Yuri's Revenge, Generals, Zero Hour. Mmm. Nuclear goodness. Simulation: The Sims! Sports: Over the top stuff like NFL Street, NFL Blitz, SSX 3.

I like RPGs, but not the kind like Final Fantasy (Well, I like that too, but I digress...).
I like ones like Graal Online (It used to be good.. ;_;), and Diablo II: Lord of Destruction (If you saw how f***ing crazy I went when the DLLs got corrupted, you'll know how much I like it. XD), and Phantasy Star Online (PC version for life. ^_^).
My other favorite genres are:
- First Person Shooters (DOOM, Team Fortress Classic, Half Life, Deathmatch Classic, and the like) - Strategy games (Starcraft: Brood War, Warcraft3: The Frozen Throne) - Artillery (Gunbound)#nosmileys

Ah, I like a wide variety too, but overall, my favorites would be stuck between RPG's and FPS's. Still loving Final Fantasy even though they started getting a little too much into graphics and losing the story in there. Yet I loved Golden Eye and thing of the sort. I'm still a Unreal Tournament freak on the computer.

Definitely RPG all the way! Its always nice to give my imagination a break from PnP RPGs and allow my compy to show me how its done.
RPG: ToEE, NWN, Morrowind(well, its kinda an RPG...), Icewind Dale 2, Arcanum, etc. FPS: Americas Army, Battlefield 1942 RTS: Red Alert 2

Well, I can stand a good RPG every now and then, but I mostly like hacking and slashing. That or platformers...

How exciting.... i pretty much refuse to play sports games i figure if i want to play a sport i would go outside and do it, or if that is not possible then forget it oh and i would have to chose stratagy but really only ones that have either an action or RPG elemnt to them

I agree on sports games, they have no perpose but to make money, the only thing that changes is the detail in those games, but its all repetative, and in every sports game.
