First Encounter
Mission’s report written by Lt. Alec Soul
Day one. Our squad was sent ahead of the main force to scout and report local life. The mission was routine...or so we thought. After landing we set up a base camp and perimeter. A few days later we got orders to check on another squad that has been out of contact for more than 48 hours. For this mission we were given the use of a few goliaths and a tank. After a few kilometers the mechs and tank started becoming more of a hindrance. The men had to clear a path through the jungle and were starting to get irritated. After a while we decided to leave the vehicles and continue on foot.
Day seven. We arrived to the last known location and found a camp in ruins. The strange thing was, there were no bodies within the 500 meter perimeter of the camp, just bits of armor and blood. The armor had claw marks deep enough to leave holes, and there was also massive acid damage. I sent out two teams to explore the area and look for anything that might show what had happened. The next day one of the teams came back with no news, but the other team never came back.
Day eighteen. We know they are out there... just waiting. I’ve lost almost half my unit and most are injured. We are regretting leaving behind the vehicles. We could use the firepower and armor. (Gunfire and screaming) They just keep coming and coming, our weapons have little effect, they seem to have gotten tougher since our first encounter. We tried to radio for evac but something is jamming the signal. More then likely my unit won’t survive, I just hope this report is found.
Day twenty-one. I realize why we were sent out here. There were never any civilians. This was a weapon’s test for the new emitter. I just wish I had realized this sooner, we were a test, the Brass wanted to see their “babies” in action and test their adaptability. I would say it was a successful test except that my unit was the bait. (Muffled screams and gunfire) Its getting harder to fight, and we are all most out of ammunition and food. Only I and a few others are still alive, we had managed to get to the mechs before the zerg. The only problem was they were loaded with training rounds more commonly known as shockers. (Loud gunfire and shouts) It seems we just might survive, we have seen a protoss scout fly overhead. We can only hope it is Tassadar and not another group.
Day twenty-four. The Protoss have started burning the planet, it seems it is not the exiled one. This may be my last message, for the zerg has massed another attack and I need to fight. My men are tired and need my strength.
Day twenty-five. The Protoss have stopped burning the planet and have left orbit. It seems the Brass might finally come and get the survivors. The rescue came to late to do any good, my men are dead and I am surrounded by zerg. I only hope this report gets out. The zerg have gotten out of control and are eating every living thing they can get to. The rescue squad was killed within seconds of landing and all further attempts will result in the same thing, DEATH, I have but a few rounds left and no hope of survival. I pray my death is fast, and that they enjoy their meal... Report by Lt. Alec Soul 132nd infantry

The Zerg
Personal Report of Lt. Alec Soul 132nd Infantry
I awake to find myself still alive and surrounded by Zerg. It seems the Zerg don’t want to kill me yet, I can only hope they don’t want to make me a slave. The Zerg seem to have either forgotten about me or just don’t care. I can move around a bit but if I move too much one moves closer to me and just looks at me. I’ve been trapped here for several hours and they don’t seem to be doing anything. We are not on a planet. A ship? Or a station? Uh oh. It looks like I’m about to meet the Queen of Blades Kerrigan. She looks at me and offers her hand to help me up and asks “Are you just going to sit there?” so I get up and ask “What are you going to do to me?” She leads me past the zerglings and says “You can either become an operative like me or you can stay here and be eaten by my pets” as she said the last part almost all of the lings raised there heads and stared at me. I decided that I best try and see what she was up to. So I agreed to be one of her operatives.“Good. By the way you will have to undergo some infestation, as the Terrans call it . Or as I call it, a bodily upgrade. You will be ale to masquerade as a terran. However I need you to be in high places. This way I can have an eye on all of there situations and make sure none rise to keep them all in control. With Arcturus still around he could try and come at me again. Not to mention Jim. He must be lurking around somewhere.” I was a bit nervous about undergoing the...“operation”. Seeing is how from what I understand about infested Terran is that there fanatical about serving there master to the point of being suicidal. As you can tell I was not just jumping for joy to be like that. “Don’t you worry your not going to be like a loyal servant as these are.” She pointed to a infested terran walking up to her. “My Queen,” it said in a voice so cold it made me hope o god that I would die,“a large Protoss fleet is approaching, it seems to be led by one called Artanis, and is signaling a transmission.” Kerrigan stood there for a moment, and seemed to be deep in thought. “My Queen? What are we go-”“Issue all units to be prepared for battle and put Artanis through to room.” “Yes, my queen.”and he left the room making strange noises. After that all he heard was the sound of Kerrigan thinking. He knew that she was originally a psychic but did not now to what extant. He could hear mumbling but her mouth was not moving. Then all of the sudden a screen had pierced through the flesh of the wall in the side of the room. There was a loud screeching sound and then the screen clicked on. A picture of a Protoss appeared on what seemed to be a huge ship. Wherever he was it was bigger then an entire command station. He guessed that it must be a carrier. He had seen pictures of them in holobooks. They were enormous lager than a terran battleship. “Well Artanis, I had expected your attack to come a bit sooner. I guess age is starting catch up to you. Are you feeling it come to you, huh, Artani-”“Shut that hole you call a mouth, disease.” The one called Artanis seemed o have a voice of that of a young man who ha just gone and survived the bombing of the Dominion homeworld and capital. “You aren’t worth the energy to talk to. All you are to me is an annoyance.” “Then why do you come to deal with me ?” “Have you seen a child with the remote for a Nuclear missile? Most likely the child will press the button and blow every one to hell.” “First, I am not a child. And second I have more than a nuke. Your forces are great but mine are better. The fact that almost all of my soldiers are organically made, go’s to show that they can be replaced in small amounts of time can be quite effective.” At this point I was trying to be invisible. The last thing I wanted was to be accused of working for her by a protoss. But it was to late. “And who is this? One you intend to add to your collection of pets?” “No, I was not going to add him to my “collection”, I was offering a job of sorts.” “Well I hope he reconsiders, because if he excepts I will have his head in my own collection!” “Well, if he doesn’t take the offer, my pets will have a nice meal.” Both of them looked at me. Great, I have to of the most powerful beings in this quadrant of the galaxy waiting for an answer and both willing to kill me if I don’t join them in their agreements. Then another transmission came in and the face of a human came in. Odd, you think that there would be a lockout system for private conversation, but then again it just came out if a wall of flesh. And zerg don’t exactly converse among them selves. “Well, I don’t mean to interrupt this lovely little conversation, but I thought I should put in by say as far as challenges go and here it is: you all are going to die. Now wasn’t that just short sweet and to the point.” A large smile stretched across his face. Kerrigan rolled her eyes. And Artanis looked evan more annoyed than Kerrigan.“Well, looks like our old smart-ass just came in. I wasn’t expecting yo to still be alive not to mention have an entire fleet on standby!” “Yes, I though that frail body had gone and died but you were always a glory stealer, so a body snatcher would not be to low for you.” Artanis said with a gloom look in his eye. He seemed to loath the look of the old man. “Well, it seems the Emperor of the dominion lives on. And he still prospers might I add. Having a hold on a great fleet I must also add. And to add to that they are loyal, and appreciative, and in good condition, an-” “Will you shut up you old man! Not only do you look an old man with waaay to many liver spots for my taste-” “I didn’t know you liked any Terran any more Kerrigan?”, Artanis implied with a great look of pleasure. “I have my interests here and there. And any way why do you care? I thought you hated me.” “Well I do but-” “Hem, hem. I hate to interrupt this fantastic discussion, but I thought we were on to more pressing matters?” “ My queen, a large group of ships of unknown configuration! They seem to be charging what seems to be weapons.” “What do you mean ‘what seems to be weapons’?”
“We’re not able to read any of the configurations but there are power fluctuations all over the vessels! That can only be assumed to be weapon.” “Hem, hem. Well it seems our discussion has ended. We seem to be targeted as well.” “As are we.” “Well, are we going to finish this later or blow ourselves up after this?” “Kerrigan judging by the size of that fleet, our battle will be very damaging.” “Hem, hem.-” “Will you stop that!” “Hmm, well they are coming to me and they just took out a Battlecruiser. And they fired only a few shots. We may have a problem, more are coming in through some type of hyperspace gate.” “What!”, Artanis seemed beyond astonishment, “ Only we know how to warp and make any kind of gate and it doesn’t even reach hyperspace fully. This must be Duran.!” “What do you mean?” Explosions were beginning to erupt throughout the area of me and Kerrigan’s location. “At this point I am not worried about that the fact is we need to attack these ships now.” At ths point everyone agreed. This was going to be dirty. Only the strong were going to survive. And we need all the help we could get.

P.R. of Lt. Alec Soul The Battle
At this point Kerrigan and I have already have moved to seven different ships. It seems she thinks I am valuable. Why would she want to save me. The ships of unknown nature have destroyed almost all of the Terran Dominion ships. Half of the protoss and zerg units and vessels. The odd thing is that the Protoss are preserving there Carriers some how. While this was odd I wasn’t that bugged about it seeing how, I was more worried for my life. Kerrigan was no longer communicating verbally but mentally with her troops. It seemed that the battle was not going well while many of her air units were destroyed., her ground units were giving a good round of support. But Arcturus was suffering a great deal of damage. “Kerrigan, we have a dire problem,” Artanis had sent in another transmission,“One of my major carriers has suffered major damage to the Psy generators. It will collapse soon, however the effects will be much more than an explosion. “What do you mean? I’ve seen many carriers explode and not have any severe effects beside debris. What is different?” “While you must understand that I would not tell you, unless it was a situation like this-” “Of, course why would you even bother to tell me the explosion?” Artanis ignored the interruption,“This is a carrier of new design. It posses its own Kydarian Crystal. This crystal can generate a great deal of Psy energy. Enough to channel it as a weapon. We can contain the energy not only to power our ships, but create an explosion of telepathic energy that would destroy the minds of all who could not guard against it.” Even our most powerful have trouble not losing all their memories.” “So it scrambles the brains of y type of life form?” “Only beings who posses a from of intelligence. As well as any Zerg too. Kerrigan did not seemed moved by th fact that her mindless troops were also effected. More explosions erupted. Soon I saw the new Carrier. It looked no different, but it was larger. Explosions were appearing all over it. I knew that I would not want to be near it when it went “boom”. And the last thing besides, the fact of being blown up, is having my brains boiled into goo. The thought made me shiver. Blue flames began to shine brighter from the Carrier. Kerrigan ushered me to an airlock and gave me a pressure suit. I wished that I had kept my marine soldier suit. I was also nervous about the fact of changing into a suit in front of Kerrigan, so she showed me an empty corridor. I quickly got to the suit and was out the airlock before I had even checked the graphs. At this point Kerrigan seemed quite cool. Seeing as how she just walked straight into the vacuum of space. They kept walking when a huge beam of light had gutted the ship they were in. At this point they were attempting to “run”. They eventually went to a creature that had a huge body and looked kind of like a lobster but oversized and a bigger body. There were large holes on the side of it. Kerrigan shoved me in. I was about ready to vomit. I was inside the creature, in what appeared to be huge pockets. I could feel the movement of its organs. But before I could look out Kerrigan had jumped in and gave me a odd smile. “Don’t get any ideas. I don’t like it either but it’s the best I could do on short notice.” I didn’t complain either. After all she could have just left me for her pets to have one last meal

PR of Lt. Soul The Meeting
Kerrigan and I had barely managed to escape. The thing we were inside was apparently what was known as an Overlord. The ones who control the Zerg Swarm and channel orders for Kerrigan. They also carry units. When we got off we were on another type of ship. He had never seen the design before. Then he caught a glimpse of a large figure. It had no mouth and had gay skin. And deep blue eyes that were glowing. Protoss. He was huge as far as height go, at least three feet higher than I. My height is 5.11". He had given me a dark look and then looks of anger as he sighted Kerrigan. She smiled at him and a pair of glowing blades appeared from the long bracelets he was wearing. Ten blades ripped out of Kerrigan’s arms, five on each arm spreading form her wrist down the front of her fore arm.. She smirked. The Protoss charged. There was a yell but it seemed to come out of nowhere. He assumed it was the Protoss who had done it. Kerrigan made no sound, as she came into a defensive position.. The Protoss’s blade went right t here but she swiped her bladed hand and hit home as it went straight through the Protoss’s forehead. He fell the ground and disappeared as burst of blue flame came from the large suit he was wearing. Kerrigan smiled. “Well Kerrigan you have proven your worth in battle.” a voice said. I had recognized that voice. “Its about time you showed up. I thought this ship crew would come at me if you don’t call them off. Not that I don’t need the practice.” “Well the fact that you are willing to defend yourself when the time arises, shows you are worthy adversary. I prefer a opponent that is willing to ‘get their hands dirty.’” “So first you curse me then you praise me. You Protoss are so indecisive. Can never make up your mind.” “The fact that I praise you is that you have taken the life of the one known as Zharush. He was challenging my rule over this fleet and getting in my way. While I could have asked for a more painful death, this was...sufficient.” “Well at any rate, I can feel the carriers energy’s, and my gut say’s lets get out if here.” “Don’t worry there’s shuttle waiting. And, not to brag, it is a great deal faster.” “While I do like my own units better, I must agree. At this point I need speed not power.” “Well for once I agree. And that is oddly frightening” “Hem, hem. I think a greeting is in order. Of course, you two were never good at that.” The old man called Arcturus had walked in.. He had a large Heavily armed escort. I had never seen so many weapons strapped to one man. Las pistols, mass drivers, mini ion-gun, Poison darts, a large assortment of blades, and very large modified gauss/canister rifle. “Well you can try and speak for yourself, you know,”Kerrigan said,“Every time you greeted me you were prepared to put a bullet in my head. Not much of a greeting...if you ask me.” “W-e-e-e-e-l-l, in my business s quite a greeting to even personally greet someone. So be a little bit grateful.” “The only thing I am grateful for is your group of battleships. Or should I say what’s left of them, any way. Oh, well at least the enemy fleet is good and damaged. Well the unknown enemy fleet, anyway. We should finish them off as soon as possible.” “Kas Nali dat. Will you be quiet. We need to get to the shuttle. We have little time to waste. “Yes, I must agree. Ned!” One of the armed men shot to attention at Arcturus’s inquiry. “Yes, my Emperor?” “Prepare to move out. And relax a little. I don’t want to see one shot or swing from your weapons.” The walk to the Shuttle was very quick. Almost surprisingly quick. Of course they did go through lifts. I was wondering how the Protoss crew was moving around so quick. I noticed that most of them looked similar. So I thought the crew must have been either warping, or can run like hell. We soon came to what seemed to be a launch bay. It was enormous. So large they could fit seventeen different squadrons of fighter wraiths. I had never seen anything like it. There were rows and rows of every type of ship you could think of. Some were big others were so small it was cramped for even him, much less a Protoss. We came up to a craft that could fit up to six Protoss. Easily fit up to ten humans. But the odd thing was a there were no access ports. Only a large cylindrical Object on the bottom. It was odd but he guessed it was some kind of warp device. But there was no visible ring for the event horizon to be. The vessel was very high up as well. Kerrigan prodded me, to a point directly below the vessels cylindrical object. It began to glow and vibrate and then a small bright light had appeared. I felt himself begin to come apart, yet there was no pain. All I saw was a bright light and then I had reappeared in a large chamber. I was all alone. But I did not feel alone. There was a presence looming in the air. It felt no hatred. Only determination. A determination to complete thing it is given. I was never this sensitive about the feeling of a presence Before I had the ability a presence easily but could not detect intentions. Kerrigan must be rubbing off on me. Either that or it may just be my gift. Then there was a glow right beside me. Then one of Arcturus’s guards showed up and almost instantly had a knife going at me, then things begin to slow down. So I took the chance. I came at him and had his Jugular vein in my finger tips. As soon as I realized I had him in my hands the Vein was flat as paper. He feinted in seconds but managed to get a good hole in my hand with a spare knife. Just then Arcturus had warped in and began to scream. He had a pistol out instantly and was about to fire when time slowed a gain but I resisted the urge to attack. And only snatched the weapon out of his hands. He was on the ground with a blade in his hands, but I already had it covered.. He was defenseless. But more light came.

PR o Lt. Alec Soul The Confrontation
The light had eventually formed out to be Artanis. And he oddly seemed ready for any ambush.. He was after me in seconds or whatever time had passed, we were at the point to where time had begun to slow to the point where I could feel the air in the room slow. Artanis was still moving as fast as he was and time still slowed. But then th tables begun to turn. Artanis’s body began to fade out as if it were disappearing. And then it was gone and only a bending of light remained. Artanis had cloaked. I had no idea what to do. But then more light had come and Kerrigan, with her ever wide berth appearing, had arrived and was on Artanis in an nano-seconds notice.
“Well now that we got that little situation is over we can continue on our journey.” Kerrigan tried to ease the situation. But it was futile. Everyone was on edge since the actions on the shuttle were taken. Arcturus would jump whenever I would come seven feet close to him and his remaining guard would snap to attention. To me and Kerrigan it was quite funny,(She is rubbing off on me!) Artanis just thought of it as an annoyance, he would always roll his eyes and scold Arcturus to get his guard to relax(seeing as how it was the other guards fault in the first place.) And would go back to his duties. Unfortunately the battle with the unknown ships did not fair well. Soon the small group began to launch some type of new fighter that carried weapons just as powerful as the larger vessels, and were more maneuverable then a scout-class wraith. They devastated Kerrigan and Artanis’ fleet. Soon Arcturus was so jumpy that he had fired a round at me and I dodged it in time. At this point Artanis and Kerrigan, were so sick of Arcturus’s fear that Artanis warped of the ship. Right then and there. And even more surprising was that Artanis and Kerrigan were getting along very, very well. There agreements with each other had even effected there Performance to an all time high, but they were making such complex plans that even a college professor could not understand. There tactics did impress me, but there friendship growth was scaring me.PR of Lt. Alec Soul The Plan
The friendship between Artanis ad Kerrigan was growing but I could still sense a large boundary between the two. Artanis was always suspicions of treachery and never really let his guard down, he always had the look of expecting deception written all over his emotional intention. The fact that I just stated was when I sense a presence I can read there intentions and emotion. While the two can be completely opposite I can still bring what they are most likely going to do. Therefore emotional intention. Anyway, Kerrigan was the exact same story except for the fact that she always was ready to take advantage of someone. I caught her doing this to me, actually. She was trying o read my memory records of personal emotional intentions of ll the persons I’ve seen. When I snapped to attention, she saw me catch her, gave me smile, and walked away. I found this quite amusing, so of course I showed it to her through my emotions. His did not make me happy and she became slowly less friendly. She was back to her cold self again. To tell you he truth I preferred her this way because it kept me on my toes. One day when the battle was shorten down to only few scout battles she came up to me and asked me if I had decided what I was going to decide for on her offer. I had never given it much thought. I was to busy improving my abilities. But before I could answer Arcturus had walked in. <We will talk about this later.>* Arcturus was not nearly so jittery but still had the look f extreme suspicion on is face. “Well now that the battle has quieted down I can give you my report from the cloaked ships. They have spotted a ship that seems to have one very large, very powerful gun on it. It is generating a very large amount of Psy and Ion particles.” I had not noticed it but Artanis was on a holographic screen right by the holographic image of the ship. He must have been very busy on his captains shift. Or had not wanted to see Kerrigan because of her mood either way his response was not good. “Ion Particles and Psy? Adun be with us! If that weapon fires there will be a huge radius of Ionic particle heat in a large area. While ship damage will be heavy the Psy will destroy the minds of the of the persons in the area of effect. Leaving the ship derelict and covered on heated ion particles. What is odd is that the only person I know of who has these plans are the deceased Xel’ Naga and the missing Zeratul. Both possibilities of the information of plans to build a weapon of this destruction is impossible.” “Then maybe Zeratul was captured and interrogated.” Kerrigan implied. “Even I have serious doubts there,”Arcturus interrupted,“ I’ve captured Protoss before but under everything we did to them nothing came out. Nothing useful any way.” At this Artanis gave him a very, very, very dark look, and I could sense his hatred fo him explode. You didn’t need to read emotions to get the picture. Arcturus began to cower ever, ever, ever so slightly, just enough to tell Artanis his most sincere of apologies. Artanis took control and calmed himself. Kerrigan was not only surprised at Arcturus’ response but heavily amused to the pont where she was barely holding back hysterical pointing and laughter at Arcturus. I myself had to smile a little.
* This is where Kerrigan speaks through telepathy, or speaks to someone with her mind. At that Arcturus pulled his act together and snuffed up his nose to shoo off his pride. But I could still here Kerrigan’s mind laughter and thought messages being sent to Artanis congratulating him. Artanis lightened up and gave Kerrigan a “Shut up” look but she ignored it. Arcturus quickly went back to his briefing to save what little pride he had left. He showed the ship to scale of a battlecruiser. It was twenty-times bigger. Kerrigan’s mind laughter stopped immediately. They were in trouble. Very big trouble. There was no way they could repel a blast that size. And they couldn’t leave to let the fleet regrow. They were out of options. But ol’ Arcturus pulled out his guns. He had a plan. The beams main focus was that the Psy particles ride the ion beam. And ion beam control is based off of the use of polarity magnets. The magnets keep ion particles in a tight-focused beam in order to keep the power of the beam in a focused and more damagable area. The only way to divert the beam or deflect it was to use the fusion generators to make the beam turn to a safe distance, and would dissipate and cause no damage. However Kerrigan had already taken it a step further. She suggested that we use the magnets as not only to divert the beam elsewhere but why not back at the target? Th blast would not only destroy the cannon ship (The name given to the gunship), but all other ships in the enemy fleets immediate area. This would only leave the smaller ships to take down. However, Artanis said that not only the Psy in the beam would leave the beam as soon as it diverted but what would also keep the fleet from retreating or getting help from a hyperspace gate? Again Arcturus had the answer. Not only was the type of ion particle magnetic on its own properties(keeping the Psy in.) But it also had a gravity field which prohibits the opening of any type of hyperspace or warp gate(keeps any type of hyperspace gate from opening.). They could use there own weapon against them. The enemy had destroyed themselves.

PR of Lt. Alec Soul The Discovery
We had our plan out and made. While there were small technical problems they were easily fixed. But in a short amount of time we were ready. But the enemy had the first move. We were just waiting. I was bored and I needed more “fresh” people to read. The ones here were all read and I could not improve my abilities with them. And since going on another ship was suspicious I began to read. No I really read. Read reports on technicalities and information. I also took inspection routes when I learned how things worked. Artanis was surprised in how my technical knowledge of. things had vastly improved in such a short amount of time. My response? “That’s what happens when your bored enough to read technical reports on small time repairs. And they are very boring. No dynamic writing at all. Straight to the point.” At this Artanis gave a small chuckle. It was the first time I had ever heard a laugh from him. It was much better sounding than his usual grunts and mumbles. At this note, I gave him “Do I Know You?” look. And then he responded through even more laughter. This was not Artanis’ emotional pattern. His hot-headedness would have been offended by the look but this person responded by no offense but by being jolly and drawing little attention to those who were not attune to emotional status f someone. And this was too much a change in such a short amount of time. But before he could leave Kerrigan sent me a telepathic message to keep the fake there as long as possible. Kerrigan had noticed as well. Unfortunately the fake had noticed. And his jolliness was gone. He started to leave by making it look like he was checking consoles and diagnostics. But than he had the emotion of determination. The will of not to get caught. So I went up to him to stall. And then Kerrigan walked in. I had never sensed her coming she was indeed on a high level of power. Enough to mask her presence. It seemed the fake was fully aware and panicking now. Right where Kerrigan wanted him. She cloaked an was gone. Now he fake had “freaked”, Now running out of the room. I was already there and had a blade to his throat. But then Kerrigan had de-cloaked right in front of him and put her arm blades through his chest, almost hitting me. The body fell. It began to shimmer and reformed into a unknown alien. It was wearing armor that looked similar to Protoss style, but its configuration was very different. Kerrigan had a look of disbelief.. The alarms went off. It was more toward warning Protoss so it had little sound and was showing off tele-sound. Artanis came through the door into the chamber, and stopped. He backed out and left. He almost ran out. Kerrigan was still staring. Not even moving. Then she began to speak. “We are in trouble.” “Why?” “This is a...Xel’ Naga.” And then she left.PR of Lt. Alec Soul The Victory
With the discovery of a extinct species, everyone was thrown off. Everyone said only what was required. There were no comments. Everyone just worked. The preparation were made and we were ready to take on any remnant ship. But now Artanis was interviewing everyone. Searching for any abnormality. He found three more. One was an engineer. And all were protoss. This disturbed Artanis greatly. He usually now sat in the captains battle bridge. He would just sit there. I could tell Kerrigan was almost getting concerned. But the plan was on schedule. I had no complaints. But when the Canonship arrived, they still seemed unprepared. Well it didn’t really come, but kinda a few hundred-million kilometers away. When the actual firing sequence of the ship began all fighter vessels had to dock, because there was a vacuum effect. All of them would be torn apart by inertia from the effect. All fighters were recalled and Kerrigan called back all her Units that were not actually using a engine. So everything besides a infested Carrier of infested Battlecruiser. The firing sequence had started and we lost a few scout vessels and Arcturus lost many of his cloaked scouts. However we were still feeling insecure so we hid the shape of the deflection formation with other capital ships. The shape was that of a “U”. So now we had to wait. And that was getting difficult. The enemy was trying to draw us closer but we resisted. However, we did not know whether they had discovered our knowledge of them or not so we couldn’t do much. There was still more disturbing news as one of the captains of the carriers accidentally discovered a cloaked enemy vessel docked on his ship. It was however empty. But possessed vast arrays of sophisticated technology. Even more powerful than the Protoss vessels. So they put it toward one of the rear ships in the fleet. Hopefully there were no more. All captains did a thorough shakedown of there vessels. WE found Twenty-seven vessels attached to seventeen different carriers, nine battle cruisers and one had managed to attach to one of Kerrigan’s vessels. Kerrigan was outraged. It was on her MASTER command ship. Now she was bloodthirsty. Ready to kill. The Canon vessel was ready to fire but the enemy was fine tuning it. It would take ten minutes for the beam to hit target. That was plenty of time for the decoy vessels to get out of the way and the fleet to correct for formation problems. They were as ready as ever. “Adun tore’ das, to you all.” “Hem, hmm....thank you, I think.” “Yes I thank you for your blessing. But, you should give it to the enemy when they are ripped apart!!!”
It fired. The beam was traveling faster than we expected. We are in position but th decoy fleet is still in trouble. A fleet came from behind. It was to large for us to handle. There was a change of plans we are directing the beam toward the fleet behind us and when a second shot comes we will deflect it back at them or send the decoy fleet if they don’t fire
Note: Some records were lost, obviously by the stress of the blast.
It worked the ambush fleet is gone. They put an extra charge in it but it worked. Now for the canon ship...
Note: loss of more records. PR of Lt. Alec Soul The End
By the time this record is read no doubt I will either be dead or Kerrigan has me. While the cannon ship was destroyed, it was still damaging. They fired a beam in a Helix* shape and the deflector array did not work fully. One of the beams was deflected and hit the canonship dead on but the other struck. Many were killed or driven mad by the Psy. Almost all protoss survived but Terran and Zerg were instantly killed or went “psycho”. I was injured and barely survived. We lost the alien ship. All I can do now is die or become infested. I don’t like my options. Also note that, it turned out that Zeratul and Jim Raynor had showed up with a enormous fleet of ships. Wiping out another fleet of ambush ships. Me and Kerrigan cut our losses and left. The others I have no idea whether they survived or not. I still have to make a choice.
End of Log Note: The body of Alec Soul was found in the Ricanaha system, but the cranial area had been missing some organ. The Brain. Souls body also had the entire spinal column removed as well. The body was found in a dead Zerg infected vessel ship. It was found inside a active stasis tube. Souls missing organs whereabouts are completely unknown. No search was conducted. The search was dubbed futile.
After the discovery of Souls body, Zerg activity sky-rocketed and souls body was barley recovered from the vessel. The area of the system was cleansed by the Protoss after a huge outbreak of Zerg was discovered. 100% Zerg Casualties. *two beams intertwined.

Agent Alec Soul
<“Are you awake yet?”>said a disembodied voice. “Yes, I am awake. Who are you?” <“I am the Overmind, and you’re now one of my children.”> “Good your survived Alec. You have been given a new, more powerful body.” “Kerrigan! What happened to me?” “You got mortally wounded by an exploding console. My master managed to save your mind, but your body was beyond help so we left it for your ‘friends’ to find.” It was at about this time I noticed that I was suspended about 10 feet in the air. Kerrigan was standing in front of me looking at some organic displays and muttering about time. “What are you doing to me” I ask not really expecting an answer? “We are just making sure your brain won’t reject your new body.” “New body?” “Yes we cloned your cells and made you a new body. We also made a few upgrades to it. Nothing noticeably visually or by scanning equipment, in other words you still appear human and scan as complete human but you have abilities of the zerg. For instance if you get hurt, you will heal 50 times faster then a normal human.” “So I will appear completely the same?” “Oh yes, even down to your cute little birthmark on your left thigh.” When she said this, my face must have turned a shade of blood red. Only three people knew about my birthmark, my ex-wife, my best friend(only because of a gunshot wound), and my last base medic. I recovered when the stasis cell I was in started to drain its liquid contents. I dropped to the organic floor and looked up at Kerrigan, she looked different. It took me a moment to notice that she looked human ( and beautiful). She did not have her wrist blades but I had a feeling that they were just under her skin, waiting to kill someone. “I hope you don’t mind not seeing my blades but I was testing a new ability and by your expression and your thoughts it must have worked. And no, I will not let you in my bed till you prove you loyalty to me and the Overmind” If there was any way my face could turn redder it must have when she said that. “To your thoughts about what happened to the Xel’ Naga, they retreated and escaped.” “What is it that you want me to do?” “We want you to be a spy, you also have the ability to change your appearance but be careful because if you don’t keep calm and in control of your emotions you will change back to your real form.” I finally got used to the idea that I was still alive but there was one thing that was nagging me. “ So, will I get some clothes before I’m needed?” Kerrigan just smiled and told me that clothes are on the way. A few minutes past before a zergling dragging a bag of some kind came running through the door. It stopped at my feet and dropped the bag before sitting next to Kerrigan. After I put on a United Earth Directorate Uniform, I was able to relax a little. From the uniform I guessed that I would be a Directorate Spy. “Yes you will be a U.E.D. spy. They have become quite bothersome since they arrived. We need detailed intelligence and an inside operative. That is you, but first you will need to copy the DNA of a semi-ranking officer. To do this simply shake their hand or touch their skin and think of copying their DNA, then you will be able to copy them, detailed scans will not know the deception. I do suggest that you ‘Dispose’ of the body where it won’t be found.” “Sounds fun, is there anything else I need to know?” “Not till you get ready to leave, which will be in several months. Till then you will be training to be a U.E.D. officer and to use your new talents.” “ Oh boy, sounds like boot camp from Hell.” “You’re not far off. You will be training on a planet called ‘Hades’ by the soldiers on the planet. It will take about two months to get to Hades.” When she finished talking, she turned around and headed for the door. Before she got to the door, she noticed I hadn’t moved.”Coming?” She turned back around and went out the door. I ran and caught up with her in the hall way. She showed me to my quarters and showed me to her quarters. Once inside the feeling I had since the voice spoke to me was gone. “The Overmind can’t monitor what goes on in this room, same with yours if you want it to.” After saying this she seemed to have a total mental breakdown and actually started crying. This got me scared almost shitless seeing the Queen of Blades crying like a girl who just saw her parents killed by the zerg. Then she just came toward me and started crying even harder on my shoulder. At this point I was stunned and couldn’t think of anything. Luckily my instincts kicked in and I just held her while she cried. After a few minutes she stopped enough to talk. She turned away from me and just stood there looking and the wall. “I’m sorry you had to see that. I don’t know what came over me. I just felt all the pain and suffering this war has inflicted.” I was still unable to speak but managed to take a step closer. “I to felt the pain but when you started crying I had to be strong. I’ve had to be strong all my life.” “Still I wish you didn’t see that.” I just walked up to her and held her. At first she tried to get free then she just stood there in my arms, not saying or doing anything. “It’s been so long since I have been held like this- like a person-and not like a prisoner. I have almost forgotten how much a person needs to be held before they just, breakdown emotionally.” When she tried to pull free again, I let here go and she walked over and sat on her bed. Resisting the urge to sit next to her on the bed I grabbed the chair next to the display and sat in front of her. She had her hands on her lap and was staring at them, I was just looking around the room. When she finally spoke it almost made me jump, only my training stopped me in time, I turned to look at her face. “You will do well by not mentioning this to anyone.” “ Who would I tell?” She just stared into my eyes. The look of desperation she had on her face was starting to scare me again but I didn’t let it show. She must have used a non-verbal command to lock the door because I suddenly heard a muted click of a door lock. I turned to look at the door and sure enough the door control pad was blinking red. When I turned back I almost wish I never agreed to see her quarters because she just lunged at me like a zergling lunging at a marine. Even my lightning fast reflexes didn’t allow me to move fast enough. She hit me full force and was ripping my uniform off faster then I thought ever possible. The last thing I could remember about that night was being in her bed, after that it was just a blur. The next thing I knew I awoke next to a sleeping Kerrigan. I got up and took a LONG shower, when I got out and into some clean-unshredded-clothes I found a guilty looking Kerrigan setting some food on the table. After we ate breakfast she spoke before I had a chance to. “I-I-I’m sorry about last night. I had no excuse to do that.” “I just hope you feel better and that next time I can get at least a five minute warning.” I said the last part as a failed attempt to lighten her mood. She looked so guilty and depressed that it was starting to scare me, and I don’t scare easily. “Maybe I should go to my quarters and leave you alone.” “Please don’t go. Just stay here with me please.” “Ok” We sat in silence for about an hour before she decided we should go to the command deck. On the command deck there was a mix of Terran and a few Protoss. The terrans immediately saluted and the Protoss saluted in there own way. Kerrigan nodded to them and went to her command chair. Since there wasn’t another chair I just stood next to her. The rest of the day went by uninterestingly and long. We ate dinner in the Terran mess hall, the other soldiers gave us a quick glance and went back to eating. We started talking about the new fighter design being built and of other technical items. We went back to my quarters to pick up my few belongings that survived, which consisted of four items, my pistol with the holster, the modified sniper rifle I found on the last ship I was on, the gauss rifle round that came within centimeters of killing me, and the picture of my sister that was killed by an artillery missfire that destroyed 3 acres of crops and a pump house. The last item was something that almost never left my chest pocket. “I got a strong emotional surge from you when I found that picture in your pocket so I put it with your stuff.”

I had forgotten that Kerrigan was there. “Thanks, she was the only family I had since mom died ‘cause dad was in the military eight thousand miles away... I can still remember the accident. //Faulty wiring caused a power surge that shot four anti zerg grenades before we could shut it down. I saw with horror the direction the rounds were heading, right to the field my sister was removing weeds. I tried yelling for her to run but she was too far way to hear me. After the rounds hit I collapsed and was in a state of shock for about nine days before the medics could get me out of it. They say my heart stopped several times but they managed to get it going again. I must have lost the will to live but then I found something to live for, killing the enemies of my people. Zerg, Confederates it didn’t matter. I was a killing machine, I had nothing to live for so I never held back never ran away from a fight. That was until I got command of the squad I was in when the CO was killed. Having to lead other people shattered my armor of hate. I started to think of them during battles, pulling back when I would have stayed and died killing.\\ The squad was my only reason to live, then we were sent on that ‘test’. My squad was killed and I wanted to die with them, then you showed up. You must have known how much I wanted to just empty the last of my clip into your face but I just couldn’t pull the trigger.” “I did feel that desire from you, that desire to shoot me, it was overwhelming but something made you stop. I’m still wondering what kept you from pulling the trigger.” “To tell you the truth I don’t even know what kept me from doing it.” I just stared at her for what must have been twenty minutes before I remember why we came here. After putting my things in a bag we walked to Kerrigans quarters. After what had happened the prior night we decided to just share quarters, I put my pistol and rifle in the closet and the bullet and picture on the desk. I must have spaced out again because Kerrigan had set the table and was waiting for me. I took one last look at the picture and sat down to eat the prime rib that she had gotten from the chief. There were fruits of some kind and something I can only describe as white machine oil that turned out to be something the U.E.D. calls ‘gravy’. It’s supposed to go with potatoes. When we finished eating, I cleaned up the table while Kerrigan took a shower. When I got back from taking the leftovers to some of my zergling friends(one of which was the one that brought my clothes in the bag two days prior) Kerrigan had gotten out and was clad in only a towel like cloth. She put the towel in the recycler container and slipped into bed. I undressed to my shorts and shirt and slipped in as well. I must not have been comfortable or something because when I woke up I was sleeping on the floor wrapped up in the light blanked. I got up and put the blanket on the still sleeping Kerrigan. I noticed that since the stasis cell I haven’t seen Kerrigan in her true form. I figured that she must have had her transformation ability have her human form as the base. I didn’t mind ‘cause her true form unnerved me at times. I gave a small sound of surprise when I noticed that she was looking at me. I didn’t even realize that I must have been staring at her for a while. I quickly got up at went to take my shower only to have a somewhat pleasant surprise when she joined me. Since the shower was large enough I didn’t do anything till she spoke. “Why were you staring at me?” the question caught me so off guard that it took me a moment to respond. “I noticed that you haven’t been in your true form since before the stasis cell. And I was just wondering why.” “I just wanted to look human. My true form unnerved the officers and troops.” When she said this, I blushed slightly. “I’m just tired of being the Queen of Blades, I want to be like a normal human again but I know it is impossible.” She looked as if she might start crying again so I just put my arms around her and just held her. So we just stood there in the shower not speaking and not moving. When the water started to get cold, we got out and dried off but didn’t get dressed instead she gave orders to the bridge not to be disturbed then went to her bed. I followed her. After our joining we just lay in bed not saying much or doing much, just taking comfort from each other. It wasn’t until after lunch that we got up again and got dressed before going to the mess to get something to eat. Some of the officers were giving me strange looks, so I decided to test my new hearing. <“Funny how they leave together and show up together.” “Ya, I wanted to ask him a question about the new fighter so I checked the computer for his quarters and it turns out that he and commander Kerrigan are sharing quarters.” “No kidding?” “No, I’m dead serious. They are sharing quarters.” “Shit, he’s staring at us, I think he can hear us.”> With that they left via the far bulkhead door. It seemed that Kerrigan didn’t hear what they were talking about, but then again she seemed distracted by something. Deciding that she had enough to deal with, I just grabbed a light salad (another dish from the captured U.E.D. supply ship) and a drink and sat down on the opposite side of the table and started eating. I decided to talk to the engineer that was at the other table working on the design specs of the fighter. I excused myself and brought my lunch over to the table he was sitting at. I sat down at the table and he didn’t even notice me till I ask how progress on the fighter was. I had to give him credit ‘cause he only gave a small sound of surprise. “Oh-h-h, s-i-ir, s-o-orr-y I didn’t see you.” “How is the progress going?” “Huh? Oh fine sir. The ion-fusion core still has a micro fracture problem.” We got into a long discussion about the different aspects of the systems. It wasn’t until he had to report to the construction bay that I noticed we had been talking for more than two hours. Kerrigan was gone, most likely on the command deck, and the lounge was just about empty. I took a walk to the hanger bay and just looked around for a while. One of the tech boys asked if I was lost or needed help with something but I just waved him off and continued on my way. I must have walked around half the ship before I realized it was pushing twenty-three hundred hours. I made my way back to the lounge to get some dinner, thinking Kerrigan was asleep by now. When I walked in there was only two people present. The chief, which by the looks of it was just about to leave, and Kerrigan. She was sitting at the far corner, and there was a large plate of something called spaghetti sitting in the middle of the table. I walked over and sat in the chair, I saw that she hadn’t eaten yet so I served her plate first. It wasn’t until we had finished and I had put the dishes in the kitchen that she spoke. “I’m tired of this. Always having things done for me. I wish I could just get away from it for a while.” “Then do it. Lets both go. I know a good planet close to here that is populated by a farming community, so there won’t be much in the way of luxury. We can take one of the shuttles. Just you and me and some farmers. We could stay for about three weeks before the fleet moves too far for the shuttle.” She didn’t answer so I didn’t press the issue. We headed back to our quarters in silence. The next morning, I was up before Kerrigan and decided to plan the trip she needs. The whole thing only took five minutes to set up. I told the officer in charge the plan(he agreed she needed to get some r&r time) and a tech officer to secure a shuttle. Pleased with myself I took a shower and got dressed, Kerrigan was still asleep. I headed down to the hanger and got the shuttle ready, it was loaded with extra fuel and a command tent along with other supplies that might be needed, including money and weapons. With the prep done all that was need was Kerrigan, I called on her communicator and asked her to come to the hanger for a minute. The only high ranking officer that didn’t know about this little ‘excursion’ was Kerrigan herself. When she got to the hanger bay she asked where I was, one of the tech officers told her shuttle four. She thanked him and went on board. As soon as she was far enough inside, I sealed the hatch from the cockpit and took off. To say she was mad would be an extremely large understatement. I wouldn’t have been surprised if the people in the hanger heard her yell “ALEC!” I actually had to seal the cockpit door for my own safety. After about three hours she calmed down enough to where I could leave the cockpit. When I opened the door, the look she gave me made every cell in my body want to turn around and lock myself back in the cockpit. Her look could probably cut plasteel, or drive a man insane. I gulped and took a step closer, she didn’t move or speak, just looked at me with those eyes. When she did speak it made me wish she hadn’t. All she said was, “why?” in a tone that would break a battle-hardened marine or a ghost. After explaining how I planed this and informed the command officer in charge that we would be leaving for a couple weeks and on how he agreed that she needed some r&r. She didn’t say a word, just got up and went to the back of the shuttle. I knew enough NOT to go back there for any reason under a hull breech, so I went back to the cockpit. I mainly stayed in the cockpit for the 28-hour flight.

It took four days for Kerrigan to start to enjoy herself. The vacation was what she really needed, and we stayed for two weeks. When we got back to the command ship she was no longer depressed. She went to our quarters to have a shower while I went to the command deck. “Well, you’re still alive and in one piece.” The temp co. was looking for any wounds. “I guess you locked yourself in the cockpit huh?” “Why would you say that?” “She yelled loud enough for us to hear it, but I believe she yelled ‘Alec’ am I right?” “Yea she did? So you heard it up here?” “Ya, I thought we might have to be ready for battle cause I bet the people of Earth probably heard her.” I had to laugh at that. Everyone in the command room was laughing. “I had to lock myself in there for about three hours before I scrounged up enough courage to open the door. Then the look she gave me made every fiber of my body want to close it again.” He was laughing so hard that tears were forming under his eyes. I left him laughing and went back to take a shower. I walked into our quarters to find Kerrigan sitting on the bed with nothing but a towel. She looked like she was trying to say something important but couldn’t remember how to talk. I got a strong emotional feeling and thoughts. The thought said <how will I tell him> “tell me what?” I asked before realizing she never asked the question. She stared at me and said “Why did you probe my mind?” “I didn’t. Your emotion and thought were powerful enough that an untrained ghost could have read them.” “Sorry” “Now what do you need to tell me?” “Alec... I-I’m pregnant.” When she said that my world flipped. I was stunned. I couldn’t think of one thing to say or do so I just stood there, my mouth open wide enough that a zergling could have walked in and taken a nap in comfort. After a few failed tries I finally managed to ask. “Are you sure?” “Yes, I did a bio scan and it says I have a 93% chance of being pregnant. In a week I will be able to transfer it into a chrysalis for maturity.” “Oh wow I’m going to be a dad? How soon till we know if it is a boy or girl?” “A few weeks at most.” I was thinking this had to be a joke but the look she had told me it wasn’t. Then she started to laugh at first I barely noticed but when she started laughing hard enough to tear up I knew it was a joke. “Are you pregnant?”when she stopped laughing she responded “No-o. But the look on your face was so-o priceless.” Then she started laughing again. “KERRIGAN” My response was loud enough to shatter the display in the room and get a call from the bridge saying a surge of some kind shattered several displays. I tore out of the room leaving a dumb struck looking Kerrigan. I made my way to the hanger to vent my anger but an unfortunate marine couldn’t move out of my way fast enough and I sent him into the wall with enough force to shatter his arm. I told his friend next to him to take him to the medical bay and I continued on my way. When I reached the hanger the first non-living thing I came to was a fighter, so I vented my rage on its side. My first punch moved the fighter about half a foot and left a good two foot crater on its side. One of the maintenance technicians started running over to me and asked what was wrong. The look I gave him made him stop dead in his tracks. I turned back to the fighter and repeatedly punched it over and over again. By the time I calmed down enough to realize what I was doing the side of the fighter was destroyed and my fist was covered in blood. I turned and headed to the medical bay to get my hand looked at but by the time I got there my fist was only covered in dried blood. I almost walked out but then remembered the poor marine I sent into the wall and asked about him. The medic said he was ok but would need a few hours in the stasis cell to regenerate his arm. I thanked him and walked out, and headed to the pilots lounge knowing Kerrigan wouldn’t be there. I grabbed a drink and a burger and sat down at one of the empty tables. I overheard some of the maintenance technicians talking bout what I had done to the fighter. <“Did ya see what that guy did to the fighter?” “Ya, its gunna takes us a few days to fix it.” “So what did he use on it? A sledgehammer?” “No, he used his fists.” “No way!” “Yes way. I saw the whole thing.” “Damn, hope he don’t get mad at me.”> at this point I decided to leave and go talk to Kerrigan before she had another breakdown. I found her still in our quarters watching something on the display that wasn’t shattered. She didn’t even notice me walk in. What she was watching startled me, it was the footage of me in the hanger attacking the fighter. I could see that she was looking very depressed and startled. I saw how fast I demolished that fighter and the look on Kerrigan’s face when she heard my gasp. “I’m sorry I did that to you. I didn’t mean for you to get so mad. I was just trying to get back at you for the trip.” “If you wanted to get back at me you could have picked something a little less serious.” “I’m sorry.” “Well you should say sorry to the maintenance technicians and the pilot of the fighter I totaled.” I was hoping that I would be a little calmer when I started talking to her but I still had a sharp tone in my voice that cut like knives. “The marine I ran into in the hall is ok. He just had a concussion and a shattered arm. He is recovering in med. lab four. His friend took him in after the incident.” “ I just hope he will be ok emotionally cause he is a colonel. He might not want to serve under your command again.” “Who was he?” “He’s Colonel Sinclair 182nd mobile armor division. He commands the four tanks squads on board.” “Hmm.” I was thinking that maybe I should explain what had happened and apologize. I opened a com channel to med lab four and told the doctor to send Colonel Sinclair to conference room two. I closed the channel and headed to get a drink and then head to the conference room. I only had to wait an hour for the Colonel before he walked in the door with the soldier that took him to med bay. “Colonel Sinclair reporting as ordered. Sir!” “Very good colonel. I wanted to talk about what happened in the hall a few hours ago. I’d like to apologize for the incident. I had absolutely no reason to hit you. I was not in the best of moods. But if you saw what happened to the poor fighter I ran into in the hanger you would be pleased that I didn’t do it to you.” This got a chuckle from Sinclair. “Ya I saw the footage. The doc showed it to me before he let me go saying how lucky I was that you didn’t do that to me. I do suggest that you let Captain Amoral not see you for a while. He came to med bay only about 10 minutes after you and asked for a sedative cause he said if he saw you that he would make you feel what his fighter felt.” That got a chuckle from me. I had met the Captain and I knew he would try to attack me even if he had no chance. I decided to just send him a message of apology, later though. “Well still I’m sorry for what I did.” “Don’t worry bout it, if you had done serious damage, my friend here woulda done some serious damage to you. He he he.” “He looked like he wanted to back there when I told him to take you to med bay.” “Ya that’s what he told me when I came to. Said that if the medics couldn’t save my arm they wouldn’t be able to save your face.” I looked at his friend and indeed he looked like he still might come at me, not that I would blame him. “Well now that the matter is settled you two may have the rest of this shift off. Dismissed.” “Sir.” With that they both turned and walked out the door while I sat in the conference room alone but never alone.< “You are still upset my child.”> the disembodied voice stated rather bluntly. “Ya well the last month has been, strange, to say it mildly.” <“Indeed it has my child. The Xel’ Naga appearing and the U.E.D. trying to take control of the colony worlds.”> “Well. What am I to do with Kerrigan?” <“Your abilities are developing so fast. The better hearing, strength, and senses. The fighter was almost totaled. Only your common sense stopped you in time to save the fighter.

Another few hits and you would have ruptured the power core and destroyed half the hanger bay, including yourself. Kerrigan cares for you very deeply, you are constantly at the front of her thoughts... Remember, Kerrigan will do anything for you now, because you treated her like no one has since becoming my child, you treated her like a human being and loved her like one. I could never comfort her like you can. I know that at times when you are in the same room as her that she wishes you two could have met under different circumstances, circumstances in which I never came to this galaxy. Kerrigan needs you now, desperately, remember what I said and go to her, comfort her like I cannot.”> All during his speech I could feel Kerrigan searching for me, needing me. After a minute I decided to do what the Overmind could never do, comfort her like a person. On my way to find Kerrigan I ran in to a bridge officer. “Sir. We have a terran command ship wanting to send over a shuttle. Should we let it dock?” “Send a security team to docking bay seven. I’ll meet them there. Let the terran ship know that NO weapons are to be brought on board with out my permission. Is that clear.” “Sir.” As the officer relayed the orders I headed to the docking bay. “Hmmm. I wander who it is.” “Excuse me Sir?” A passing marine asked. “Sorry. I was talking to myself.” the marine looked at me for a moment more before continuing down the hall. <“ Raynor is here. Kerrigan still doesn’t know and I don’t think she should see him. It might... complicate things. You should be the one to talk to him.”> “Alright, thinks for the message.” “But sir. I just got here. How would you know the message?” The bridge officer was standing in front of me and I didn’t even know he was there. “Oh sorry. I was talking to the overmind. I do know who is on board so you can get back to whatever you need to do. Carry on.” “Yes sir.” It took me only ten minutes to reach the docking bay. When I got there Raynor was standing just beyond the landing ramp. “Hello Raynor. What do I owe for this delightful visit?” Raynor didn’t look like he wanted to waste time with idle chit chat so I got serious. “So. Why are you here?” “I’m here to talk to Kerrigan. Not some punk bridge officer.” That got me pissed. “For your information. Captain. I’m not some punk bridge officer. I’m the commander of this fleet under the Overmind. You will do well to remember that.” He looked like he didn’t even acknowledge the rank. “Well I don’t care who the hell you are. I want to talk to Kerrigan. NOW!” <“Alec. Kerrigan is heading to the docking bay.”> “Shit. Things just went from bad to worse.” “Excuse me, but what the hell do you mean things just got worse.” I didn’t realize I had said that out loud and Raynor looked only a little perplexed. Just then the hanger door opened and Kerrigan walked in. Raynor didn’t see her walk in but she saw him and shot a spine straight for his chest. I side stepped to block the spine. The spine almost went clean through my shoulder. Raynor saw the spine and looked past me and saw Kerrigan, he tried to say something but she only launched more spines at him. I barely intercepted the spines in time but they all lodged in my right arm. Kerrigan looked as mad as when I kidnaped her a few days ago. When Raynor saw her face he went almost dead white. He barely got through the shuttle door before several more spines hit where he was standing. “KERRIGAN STOP!” I tried to step in front of her but she didn’t seem to see me, only my fast reflexes kept three spines from lodging in my chest. “Raynor. Get back to your own ship. NOW.” Raynor didn’t need to be told twice, he was out the hanger faster then I thought a shuttle of that type could go. I had to evacuate the docking bay to keep the technicians from getting hit. I decided it would be best if I locked her in there for a while so I did and went to the med bay to get the spines removed. As soon I was past the doors I had the three doctors running over to me. I was wondering why they were making such a fuss over a few wounds but when I looked at the spines I noticed a large pool of blood under my feet. “Damn Sir. What happened to you?” the doctors’ mouth was open so wide I wouldn’t have been surprised if a hydralisk came out. “Wow. I didn’t think I lost THAT much blood. But I guess having spines sticking out of you would tend to make you bleed a bit huh.” “Sir we need to get those out now. No telling what kind of damage they did.” It took the doctors about two hours to get the spines out without making the wounds bigger. They said that even with my fast healing abilities it would still take a couple days to heal completely. When I went back to the docking bay I noticed several LARGE dents in the blast doors. I decided that it would be a lot safer if I talked to the overmind first. <“Is she still mad?” “Yes my child, but I don’t believe she would hurt you. But I do suggest that you seal of this area before unlocking the door.” “Ok thanks for the warning.”> I wished I could send some one else in but I knew that if she was still mad they wouldn’t have a chance. “Unlock door 1936. Security override Alpha-Alpha-three-one-eight unlock.” When the door opened I had to very quickly dodge to the side before a few spines sailed right where I was standing. “Kerrigan calm down. It’s me, Alec.” “ALEC. Where is Raynor? I want his head.” I was wandering what Raynor did to piss her off this much. “Kerrigan just calm down please. He’s not here so please calm down.” it took about an hour for me to calm her down enough to bring her back to our quarters. We didn’t run into ANYONE on the way. It seemed everyone knew to avoid her. When we entered our quarters I stopped just beyond the door. “Why do you want to kill him so bad?” She just looked at me not saying a word. “Tell me Kerrigan, what did he do to piss you off so bad?” “Do you remember the Command ship Wayfarer?” “Not really.” “It was where you were almost killed. He attacked the ship and the console you were standing next to exploded. The blast almost killed you and the shrapnel would have if we didn’t get your central nervus system to a stasis chamber. I had cared for you then but didn’t show it. That’s why I want him dead. He almost killed you.” “Sorry, I can’t remember much of the Wayfarer.” “I didn’t expect as much. The reintegration causes short term memory loss of about a month, sometimes more.” She went silent for a moment before remembering the spines she sent through my arm. “Are you ok. I didn’t mean to hit you with my spines. I was aiming for Raynor.” “I know. I saved him by blocking the spines. It wasn’t your fault I got hit. Besides the docs say it will be fine in a couple days so don’t worry bout it.” Even tho I was worried at first about the one in my shoulder. The docs said that if it would have hit about an inch lower I wouldn’t have survived. “You don’t have to kill him. I survived and you should try to just forget about it. I don’t want to kill him, yet. He may yet be of use to us.” “What do you mean ‘he may yet be of use’?” “Think about it. He commands the Terran Free Republic. Having him as an ally would be very beneficial to us. Would you want his fleet with us or against us?” She just stared at the screen in the room not saying anything. “Damn you. You have a good point. As much as I would love to tear him limb from limb we do need his fleet on our side. But as soon as we don’t need him anymore I will-“ ”I will kill him. He was the one who almost killed me so I will return the favor.” She looked ready to attack me. First not letting her kill him then telling her she can’t kill him because I would. I was starting to think I made a slight mistake and that I may need to fear for my life more then Raynor’s. I don’t know what else I did but I found myself running down the hallway with a VERY pissed of Kerrigan chasing me. I decided the best place to go would be somewhere off the ship. After a mental command to the bridge I ran to the nearest hanger. But my luck was starting to run low cause the nearest hanger was four decks down and Kerrigan was gaining on me. I was running so fast that when the hallway came to a turn I couldn’t stop myself in time and I slammed into the wall hard enough to wrench my good shoulder and leave a sizable dent in the plating. Kerrigan was still gaining on me and I was running out of empty corridors so I tried another ploy. <“OVERMIND HELP! Slow down Kerrigan for a moment PLEASE.” “What did you do to anger her so?” “ I don’t know and I’m trying to survive long enough to find out so please help me.

I can make it to the hanger if you can slow her down a little.” “I will try my child but I don’t think she will even listen to me. So all I can say is keep running. Your shuttle is ready for take off. The pilot will go the moment you are onboard, he is keeping the engines hot so hurry.” “Well what the hell do you think I’m doing? Going for a jog? I’m running as fast as I can.”> I got a little mad at the overmind when I got a feeling of laughing. There was another junction up ahead but instead of slowing down I just slammed into it and kept running full bore for the next junction. “Whoever designed this ship is going to have a bad time when I join him.” I said it to no one except myself. The last set of doors before the hanger was just up ahead and it was not opening fast enough. The doors were still not open enough to let me through so I slammed though leaving them very badly bent. It seemed that I had Finally lost Kerrigan when I heard the damaged doors clatter to the floor. “SHIT” She was still behind me but I had managed to gain some distance. When I entered a long stretch of corridor I knew I was in trouble. As soon as she came around the corner she started firing spines at me. I was able to dodge most of them but not all. One hit me in my wrenched shoulder and another hit me in my arm. I still didn’t slow my pace even with the spines sticking out of my arm and shoulder. Finally the hanger door was in sight. The doors started to shut, I guess in an attempt to help me by barely letting me through and not letting Kerrigan. The trick worked and I was on the shuttle before anyone was able to ask what the hell was going on. The shuttle was lifting off before I could even shut the hatch. After a few minutes of catching my breath I went to the cockpit to thank the pilot. “Shit sir but that was close. What did you do to her?” “I wish I knew, I wish I knew. Open a channel to Raynor’s command ship and make it fast.” To his credit he had a channel open in under a minute. “This is Raynor. What can I do for you sir?” “I need a safe place to hide for a while. After the incident in the hanger I must have done something to piss her off cause now she is trying to kill me.” I showed him the spines in my arm and shoulder. “You are one unlucky SOB. Hit in both arms and shoulders.” “Hey! The first ones were to save your life.” “Ya I know. Hanger three is ready for you. Just come on in and we will talk about this over lunch.” “Thanks.” It took only fifteen minutes to reach his ship and another five to dock. Raynor was standing by the door after the hanger was repressurized. “Lets get you to med bay and get those spines removed. Then we will have lunch.” It only took the doctors twenty minutes to removes both spines. They were amazed at how fast my other wounds were healing and said I must be part zerg. “Yes, I am part zerg but I will still read as complete human. Is there anything else you would like to ask?” “No sir we are done here you may leave.” “So, do you know why Kerrigan is mad at me?” Raynor’s question caught me a bit off guard but I recovered well. “Yes, I do know why. You almost killed me on the TCS Wayfarer.” “The Wayfarer? That happened a few months ago. And why would she want to kill me just for almost killing you huh?” “Simple. She loves me, and I love her. But right now ‘love’ might be too strong of word. Considering she wants to kill me. She should hopefully calm down in a week or so.” “What the hell do you mean you two love each other!?” I was starting to think that telling him that probably wasn’t the smartest thing I could have done. “Well, I saw her more emotional side a few too many times and kinda tried to comfort her and it kinda led to an interested time. Especially after I was regenerated. She kinda lunged at me and the night ended in a blur but I woke up in her bed with her.” Raynor was fuming at this point and he looked like he was ready to shoot me on the spot. “Raynor I know that you would very much like to shoot me or to shove me out an airlock but please wait and let me explain.” “You got 5 minutes. That’s all then I’m sending you out back to your own ship.” <“My child. Kerrigan is coming after you. You need to find another place to hide. She will find you soon.” “Shit. Thanks. I think I’ll get now while the getting’s good.”> “Huh Raynor? Do you have a long range, long endurance shuttle?” “Yes we do. But why do you want it?” “Well, Kerrigan is kinda still trying to kill me and I don’t think even this ship can hide me long. I need to get out of system for a while.” “Oh ok. There is a suitable shuttle in hanger bay four. Ill com them to get it ready.” “Thanks.” By the time I got to the specified hanger bay the shuttle was ready to go with 2 years worth of supplies. I hoped I wouldn’t need the shuttle that long. “Right this way sir.” a hanger tech was standing next to the loading ramp. “If you want to get away you better go now cause there is another shuttle from your ship docking in a couple of minutes in hanger three.” “Thanks.” I got out of the hanger just in time to see a VERY pissed Kerrigan enter the hanger. She even tried shooting me down with spine needles. Luckily for me the shuttle was armored to resist meteor strikes so a few spines were nothing. *I’m REALLY starting to hate these emotional flips. First she helps me, then she makes me into a superior human, then she loves me, now she wants to kill me. I just wish she could make up her damn mind.* I decided the safest place to go would be the target world in which I was supposed to go to. My modifications would allow me to pass as a human. The trip to the planet took three days of hyper spacing and my welcome was not very warm. “Unidentified shuttle. Please report your identification number.” Luckily all the info I needed was already on board. “This is shuttle 37902-Omega 1, reporting from the U.E.D. Prometheus.” “From the Prometheus? Well, you guys sure have been gone awhile. Your last report was over two years ago you guys ok?” I knew the Prometheus had been destroyed and this shuttle salvaged from the wreckage. “Ya, the reason we haven’t been sending reports is because our transmitter got destroyed in a battle and we were unable to repair it because we didn’t have the necessary parts. That’s why I’m here, to get the parts they need. I have been in this damn shuttle for two and a half months. “Well, that sure is a long time to be alone. Lucky for you we have some of the best entertainment around these parts.” “Roger that. Some entertainment will be nice. But first I have to get some things done before I can have any fun.” After chatting with the control officer for a while longer I was granted landing permission with a one week pass. It only took about 2 hours to get the parts I said I needed so I had them load it on the shuttle and I went to find some of that entertainment the control officer was talking about. It turned out that the entertainment wasn’t as good as he said. The whole week I just skimmed around the planet just wasting time until one day the Overmind contacted me. <“Child, Kerrigan needs your help. She went on a shuttle mission to a remote planet and was caught by U.E.D. patrols. So far they don’t know who she is but I fear it wont take them long. So should I tell her you are on your way?”> Damn. Kerrigan captured and needing my help. Well I knew this retreat wouldn’t last long. <“Yes. Tell her I’m on my way”> Damn Kerrigan. Before I could complete the thought I got a comm from the traffic control officer. “Sir, your ship is ready for launch.” “Thank you. Ill be there momentarily.” “Yes sir, over and out.” A few minutes later in the shuttle. “This is shuttle 37902-Omega 1. I’m ready to go.” “This is tower control. Roger that skies are clear. Have a safe trip.” With that I took off at full power leaving scorch marks on the runway and was blasting into deep space. It only took a few days to reach the planet she was on and find a place to hide the shuttle. After a couple hours of searching I found the base they were keeping Kerrigan. Lucky for me this was a remote planet and the base wasn’t heavily guarded and most the guards looked like they could die of boredom. By nightfall most the base personnel were asleep and only a few guards were walking around. A few well placed shots from my rifle took care of the guards and security system. Some of the more subtle systems remained but were easily overcome. The guard on the inside was only slightly heavier then that of the outside.

After a few shots and a couple minutes of searching I found Kerrigan locked in a holding cell. “Kerrigan! Wake up.” She looked around and spotted me and motioned to the guard. I walked up behind the guard and snapped his neck before he knew I was there. A few seconds later I had the key and was unlocking the cell when the alarm went off. “Damn. I guess im getting sloppy. Lets get out of here.” The escape route was soon blockaded by what was left of the marines, which lucky for us wasn’t vary many. “Stay behind me.” I pulled out my pistol and started firing at the marines. Three went down but the other four started shooting back. I was hit in the side but kept firing bringing down two more marines. The other two called the other base for reinforcements. I knew that if we didn’t get out before the reinforcements arrived we would be in trouble. When my pistol ran out of ammunition I grabbed my knife from my boot and threw it at one of the marines. The knife hit him in the forehead killing him instantly. The last marine was firing back and hit me in my arm before I could grab him and snap his neck. “Are you ok?” I turned around to see Kerrigan looking at my wounds. “Ya ill be ok. Now lets get out of here.” She nodded and followed my lead and we were soon out of the base and getting in the shuttle. Just as I was approaching the cockpit door I collapsed. I woke up some time later on the command ship in the med bay. “Kerrigan. He’s awake.” I looked to see who spoke and saw a doctor looking at a display. Kerrigan came over and asked how I felt. “Like I’ve been shot.” She started laughing and walked out. I started moving to make sure I still had all my limbs intact. When I couldn’t move my legs I looked down and saw a zergling curled in a ball on my legs. It was the same zergling that brought my clothes the day I was revived. When the doctor heard my movements he came over and started chuckling. “Ya when that lil fellow found out you were hurt he was at the door leaving scratch marks trying to get in. When I let him in he immediately jumped up on the foot of the bed and started growling at anyone who got too close to you. Made checkups a pain because he wouldn’t let the nurses near you. It seems he would only let me or Kerrigan close. He’s been there for the past 2 days, seems he would only leave to go to the bathroom, he wouldn’t even eat so I had a nurse get some steaks from the mess hall and bring them here for me to give him. Ya that lil fellow is fiercely loyal to Kerrigan and I guess to you now.” I had noticed that this zergling was very small compared to others. “Hey doc. Why is he so small?” he looked down at him while I patted his head. “Well that’s because he is a runt, small by standards, so was always beat up by the others. When Kerrigan noticed this she made him her helper. That kept the other zerglings from bothering him. But hey, could you imagine a full size zergling trying to fit up there with you?” I thought about that a moment I realized that the zergling was looking at me. “Oh sorry.” I went back to rubbing his head and he went back to sleep. “So doc when will I be able to get out of here?” He looked at the display. “I think you could leave now if u take it easy and don’t strain to much.” When I started moving my legs the zergling woke up and jumped off with an indignant chirp. “Sorry little dude. I need to get to my quarters.” The zergling looked up at me and walked to the door. “Well well looks like he wants to go with you. Oh here is some pain relievers.” “Thanks doc.” I grabbed the rest of my stuff and stiffly walked to my quarters to get a shower. Sure enough the little zergling was by my side the entire time up until the door where he rubbed my leg and bounded off. I walked in to find Kerrigan sitting at the display looking at some records. When she heard me come in she turned. “Well I see they let you out.” “Ya and right now all I want is a nice hot shower.” with that I walked into the bathroom and took a shower. By the time I got out Kerrigan was gone and there was a small bundle sleeping on the bed. “Well what are you doing here lil guy?” When I spoke the zergling about hit the roof. When I finished getting dressed the zergling was walking around looking hungry. “Well I guess your hungry huh. Come on lets go to the mess hall and get something to eat.”

The zergling perked up and bounded to the door as I walked out. As we walked down to the mess hall the zergling kept growling at everyone who got within three feet of me. After a couple minutes we reached the mess hall and found it almost empty. “Well looks like we have this place almost to ourselves.” The zergling just chirped and headed for the chef. “Ho what’s this a lost zergling.” “He’s with me.” the chef looked up and just nodded and asked what we would like. “I think 3 steaks should do it. One medium rare and the other 2 raw. Sound good to you lil guy?” “Coming right up.” as the chef went back in the kitchen we found a place to sit down. Which was easy considering the last two people left only moments ago. It only took about 20 minutes for the steaks, and we were soon done eating. “Mm delicious steaks. You bout done lil guy?” I looked down and saw that the zergling was fast asleep with a bloated gut. I put the dishes in the cleaner and picked up the sleeping zergling and walked to my quarters. When I arrived Kerrigan was already there asleep. Since I wasn’t tired I set the zergling at the foot of the bed and headed for the command deck. By the time I got to the command deck most of the officers were gone and it was just the night crew. “Report!” “Oh sir. Nothing to report all systems are running at peak efficiency.” I just nodded and sat down in the command chair. After what seemed like a couple hours one of he bridge personnel alerted me. “Um sir. I think u should come and see this.” “Yea what is it?” “Um it looks like power reading.” “Well where is it coming from?” “Well sir. It looks like it attached to the ship near the port side computer banks.” “Hm send a couple technicians to meet me out side the computer room. I’m going to take a look.” “Yes sir.” I walked out and headed for the computer room and in no time I met up with the 2 technicians. I pulled out my pistol and headed in first. “Follow close and get to a consol and see what’s going on ok.” “Yes sir.” I left the technicians at a consol and headed deeper into the computer room. It wasn’t long until I found a hole in the hull where some cables where attached to a mainframe computer. As soon as I got close the cables started to retract. “GET OUT OF HERE NOW!” no sooner then I yelled then a huge vacuum force was sucking everything that wasn’t bolted down out of the hole left by the cables. I immediately grabbed for a brace and hung on for dear life. I could feel the oxygen getting sucked out of my lungs and knew I would soon pass out. Then all of a sudden the suction stopped. I looked around and realized that it was because all of the air in the room had been sucked out. I cautiously loosened my grip and found it was safe. I made my way to the door but when I tried to open it nothing happened. I then remembered that the doors automatically lock to prevent the entire ship from decompressing. My vision was starting to blur and I knew I wouldn’t last long without air. I looked around and found that some of the deck plating was removable. I picked a couple pieces up and set them over the hole and used a couple well placed punches to hold them in place. With the breach sealed oxygen started returning to the room. After a minute I was able to pry open the door and stumble into the corridor. I looked up and saw Kerrigan with a couple medics running down the corridor right for me. I sat up against the wall and started laughing and when Kerrigan got to me she just gave me a funny look. “Why are you laughing? You nearly died.” It took me a moment to stop laughing enough to explain. “Oh its just that I think some one or something is very intent on killing me.?” she just looked at me and when the medics said I was ok she helped me back to our quarters. “Oh while you were nearly getting sucked into space we were able to shoot down the ship that was attached to the computers. It’s the same type of ship that we encountered with the Xel’ Naga. The only difference is this one was more advanced.” I thought about this a moment before I realized the Xel’ Naga could be very close by. “I don’t think we could survive another encounter with the Xel’ Naga.” she looked grim but agreed. All of a sudden the alarms went off. “Bridge! Report!” “Sirs we got a Xel’ Naga scout being chased by several unknown zerg units. I repeat, we have a Xel’ Naga scout being chased by several unknown zerg units. What do you want us to do?” “Take down the zerg and hail the Xel’ Naga and tell them if they attempt to run we will destroy them.” “Yes sir!” When I turned from the display Kerrigan was already on her way to the bridge. I heard a snarling sound and looked down and saw the zergling in a battle crouch ready to attack. “Calm down Lil guy. There’s not much u can do.” the zergling then started whimpering so I picked it up and carried him with me to the bridge. As I walked into the bridge Kerrigan was already talking with the Xel’ Naga. I set the zergling down and told him to stay and walked up next to Kerrigan. “So who’s your new friend Kerrigan?” “Ah commander Soul. Nice of you to join me. It seems the Xel’ Naga, in there infinite curiosity, were experimenting on some dying zerg. And there results became too powerful for them to control. It also seems that this one came to ask us for help.” “Hmm seems like they are in quite a predicament. Wouldn’t you say Kerrigan?” “Oh yes. Quite a predicament indeed. So should we help them with THEIR problem?” I thought about it for a minute before responding. “It would pry be a good idea. No telling what new technology they can give us.” The Xel’ Naga pilot responded almost immediately. “We will give you what ever you want. Just please help us.”
Sry folksbut this is all i have so far.. stay tuned for more.
