When I first glanced the liquid I thought it was something extremely sinister , but then I recalled the comic where Flora got drunk. So I'm going for it being simple alcohol. Then again, that seems a bit too simple, unless, of course, it's just one step out of several. A drink with somewhat more... unique properties would be very interesting, though.
About the bandage on his hand, I agree with Id about it being one of those things that just represents evil, but there are other possible reasons. Since we all know that he is not what he appears to be it could be part of his disguise. Or it could be covering up one of those scars that wont change with transformation and would trigger some of Trace's memories. Then again it may simply be a fashion statement.
On another note, something I've been wondering about for a while is Flora's necklace (you know the one with the magic jewel). It hasn't been there for a few comics, so that begs the question of what has been done with it. Also, in previous comics I've noticed appearing and disappearing between panels; is that part of it's magic, or is Tom just being lazy? As long as I'm speaking about the jewel it has occured to me that it's magic is what is making Flora act more human, no matter her supposed reason. Also, depending on the nature of the bond the jewel creates my being right could mean that Trace will soon becoming more Keidran like, as well. I very highly doubt that I'm right about this, but it would be very interesting if I was.
