I figured what better subject to post art here than catgirls, given the apparent affinity for some of the lovely ladies of this and other friendly comics. I suppose introductions are called for. My name, as the handle says, is Ronald MacKinnon. I do a comic for my university's newspaper once a week, and two more times for just online. Like most young adults I enjoy anime, but I enjoy animation and comics of all types, as well as classic films and such This is a piece I did for a friend, of my main female character Vanilla Watson dressed as "Frankie" and his character Vileena as "Polly" from the movie Sky Captain. That'd be his elf character Deccus and my beaver guy Mycroft dressed as Sky Captain and Dex in the background. And here's a couple of recent pictures of another catgirl character of mine from another series; a robotic army nurse from "the future" designed to boost morale of the "otaku" troops. Her name is MediNeko, creative huh? And here she is in her Gaming Guardians jumpsuit, proving that it doesn't take a European car or a Japanese motorcycle to make a woman sexy. The woman at the bottom right was added at the last minute as a request... she didn't turn out very well. Thanks for your time, feel free to criticize and point out any solutions to my style faults. Feel free to browse my VCL account where all my latest work goes. I have a DeviantArt & other hosting, but this is the most updated one. And my poor little webcomic is in my signature.

Some cool pictures you got there.
I just noticed you have 118 sketches in your sketch section on your link. I only have fifty something in my entire Photo Bucket account.
I am sure I have that many atleast laying around but dang the sheer number desrves a comment.

Hey hey hey, don't think like that. Listen, I read over a hundred webcomics. In reality mine has 4 main characters, but I pulled out 13 others just to do more costumes. And it's really hard to decide what costume would best fit what character. Part of it was out of loyalty, sure. I dressed a couple of characters as long-time link friends from End Times and Acid Keg. But part of it was also recognizability; when you draw a "real life" based comic, it's really hard to cosplay as that person and have people KNOW you're even in a costume, without going as such "big name" characters such as Penny Arcade, PvP, MegaTokyo and Mac Hall; the first two of which I don't even read and the last teo I don't even enjoy all that much. Without looking at my blurb, how many costumes can you recognize? You'd be lucky if it was a couple. I read a lot of "small" comics and try to work them in, but I usually toss in some of my favorite bigger ones too. Plus they kind of have to suit the character.
So... yeah. It's not like I didn't consider yours, there was just a variety of factors which led to different costumes being picked.

A character of a friend of mine, a bunny-octopus. She is friggin' ADORABLE when Kerry draws her. I wish I had come up with her myself.

How do you draw the folds on clothes so well? Next to shading that's got to be one of the hardest parts of drawing that I can think of.

Ooh, long time, sorry. The bunnypus is a character of a friend of mine, but yeah, she's new. Sexy too. I am HORRIBLE at drawing folds on clothes! It's mostly random lines, curves and v shapes on my stuff. If it looks right, it usually means I copied the pose and clothes off another picture I'm looking at Thanks for the compliments!
