This is another great game that's had some great things added to it. The best newest addition to the Metroid series is a multiplayer mode. Up to four players can battle it up in a free-for-all with a fully-functional Power Suit. To differenciate between the players, each player has a different colored Power Suit. This is also a game that I'm really excited for! (The other one is the new LOZ game.)

This is what Metroid fans have been begging for! The multiplayer is a sweet bonus, BUT the best thing that hardcore Metroid fans are getting is TWO FREAKING WORLDS to explore. Not since Super Metroid has there been such possibility for size!

Well, If it has a good multiplayer and is better than the others I'll look into it. My range in gameing has shorten becuse the development companies are just throwing stuff together, its details.

I have a subscription to Game Informer, and they had a full article on MP2:E. They were able to get an insede look at the game at Retro Studios. GI had a lot of great things to say about the game. From what I've read about the multiplayer feature, there are different types of game modes, and there are special powerp-ups within the multiplayer maps. There are also special cannons that you can climb into, while in the Morph Ball, that can propel you to hard-to reach areas to get some power-ups. I don't exactly remember off the top of my head, but I think those cannons are in the main game, as well.
Having two worlds in the game is awesome. What's interesting is that the two new Beam types that Samus gets (Light Beam & Dark Beam) work better in the opposite worlds. What I mean by that is that the Light Beam does more damage on Dark World creatures and vice versa. What's interesting about these two Beams is the fact that they use ammo. When you destroy a creature with the Light Beam, you get Dark Beam ammo and vice versa.

I liked the controll scheme in Metroid Prime, so if they stuck with it Prime 2 should be great (I don't like FPS's on consels in general but I liked Prime so...) and Multiplayer sounds great...so

The control scheme was one of the few things I didn't like about Metroid: Prime. It's impossible to move and look at the same time, which occasionally makes locking onto things a hassle in the first place. However, I agree that the first game was very good, and Echoes will definitely be worth picking up.
