Thought came to mind as I was doing my uh..."hourly" post attack on the forum lol. I realized that Tom wanted some blatant mark of decrimination between two races. The Keidran and the Humans. But it dawned on me that asides from being furry and somewhat animal-like, there was no real distinguishable qualities. So really...are Keidrans any form of furry creature exhibiting human characteristics? In which case, what is Keith who obviously looks like a Keidran, but is apparently not. Maybe he's a master in disguise lol.
I guess to simplify all that mumbo jumbo up there, what are the Keidran?

Don't forget that discrimination can be for anyhting. Well, Keith is another race, not a Keidran as you said. The difference i understand isn't obvious. But the storyline is well thought out. ;D

Well, if you look at discrimination in our world today, the majority of the bais is based on outer appearances.
As for what the keidrians are, I have no real idea, really. Based on what I know, I think that they are simply a second sentinent race that shares the world of twokinds with the humans and the 'other' race.

I get the discrimination, and I've no doubt that Tom achieved what he wanted with the Keidrans, but I'm just curious as to what they are. More so, what's their culture based around. What's the differences between the Keidran themselves. I ask because Flora looks Tiger-ish, and yet Scythe looked Wolf-ish. So are Keidrans just the furry's off Tom's world. In which case, Keith just confuses me all over again! lol.

I think I'd better clarify this one. The Keidrans are a race of people with "animal-like" qualities (most of the time "cat-like"). But they can be split up into two smaller groups. The first are those like Flora, who look alot like humans in many ways. But her case is really rare in Keidran society. The majority of Keidrans look more or less like Sythe, with a mussle(sp?) and longer fur.
Also, Flora is not the best example of a Keidran in other ways. She is not accustom to Keidran traditions, seeing as how she had spent the majority of her life as a slave on a human settlement. Normal Keidrans are very instinct dependent, and often act more like animals when their insticts kick in. They don't have a sence of modesty, and only wear clothes for decaration, battle, and for warmth. For these reasons humans think of the Keidrans as animals instead of people.
The Basitin, or Third Race, is often thought of as a sub-race from the Keidrans. This often made misunterstanding is triggered by the fact that the Basitin also have fur. But their society is very different from the Keidrans. They also think of the Keidrans as animals, because they are even more modest then the humans. Basitin all look almost the same to someone who is not Basitin, since they all have the same fur color and long ears. They are considered a warrior race, since every male child over the age of thirteen is trained to fight. Strict segrigations are make between women and men, more so than the humans. However, they are the least numerous race, and rarely seen or heard about.
I hope this explains some things. Everything will be explained fully in future comics, so don't worry.

Oh, and if anyone was wondering, Keidrans are only cat-like or dog-like. They're no "otter" Keidrans or "Horse" Keidran, or anything like that. Just in case anyone was thinking along those lines.

Actually, that would be interesting for another comic... I can finally use my land-squid idea?
